I wish the daily show had not jumped the shark. I can't watch it these days for the absolutely vitriolic tone it took after Kerry lost. More's the pity because it used to be a very non partisan satire venue.

Maher will never go and cavort for the terrorists, because he knows that he is just a big an "infidel" as the rest of us, and they would just as happily saw his head off in front of a video camera as they would any non-Muslim.

To his credit, he isn't as smarmy as Franken, but then, that isn't saying much.

I also enjoy whatching Maher from time to time. He sometimes make good points and I find myself laughing occasionally too. Often though he is just way over the top and it just pisses me off. In any event I don't think he is traitor on the same scale as Jane was.

Yeah, when he goes over the top I grab the remote.
He often does make good points, but they get lost in the din of his constant Bush bashing. Too bad. He could be of real value if he got off the partisan crap and onto the real day to day issues the concern us all.

He's not a traitor he's just not living in the real world, like so many of the Hollywood kids. They all think they know the score, but their knowledge comes from the cafe...not the streets. Jane Fonda is a real traitor. She didn't just exercise her freedom of speech, she took an active role in helping the communists kill American troops....IMO
