Oh, wait, it is in California. Normal rules of disbelief are suspended, and any level of stupidity is possible. Ye gads.

There's still hope. California voters put Goldwater over the top in 1964, launched Ronald Reagan's career, and have only elected three Democratic governors since World War II.

Although the state is now solidly in the Democratic column, voters 2003 ousted Democratic Governor Gray "Gumby" Davis over the opposition of the state's liberal establishment, and in the 2004 election, two thirds of the state's counties voted Republican.

To paraphrase Jesse Jackson, "keep hope alive."

Exactly...

quite crafty actually...they dumb down the populace the same way in 1984...Stupid, unarmed people are easy to manage.
