Don't apologize. Have you noticed that the volume of new and interesting posts has gone down considerably of late? The posting Nazis have played a big role in this...

It has been over 10 years since I moved from New Mexico. When I was living there, we had one of those 20 foot satellite dishes and would watch Dr. Gene Scott in the evenings.
Today, my wife does not remember who he was, but I remember him fondly.
This may be old news, but it is news to me! Thanks for sharing this information with us.
He may have been a little strange, but he was my type of strange. Today, he is with God and should be proud of what he did while on Earth.

Please ping me if you ever write an Opus.
Thanks ;^)
(I loved Gene Scott. He never failed to make me laugh. And his wife was in the porn biz? I'll have to go read the link you posted.)
To: ambrose
Oh my. A google search of his wife, Barbi Bridges, reveals, I mean reveals, an "interesting picture." Don't go there if you are a prude.

My son was about 15 when he accidentally caught him on TV with some other kids. Gene was refusing to talk until 10 people each sent in a thousand bucks. He hit 9 and then was in a serious stall, so my son called up and pledge a thousand dollars. He and his friends went wild when it was announced that the 10th pledge came in and he could start talking again.

Back in the 80's until the mid-90's c-band satellite installers used satcom G-5 where Dr. Scott was on 24/7 as a way to sight in the big dish. It was printed in installation manuals.

Back in the 80's until the mid-90's c-band satellite installers used satcom G-5 where Dr. Scott was on 24/7 as a way to sight in the big dish. His love was Saddle-bread horses, and at that time, I owned one also. I would watch him every night, just to watch his lovely horses.
In the process, his teachings about God and Christianity were most appreciated. He taught this old fool many new things.

I've done that with Pat Robertson. Something about laughter being good medicine. Sure cured my ills
