snicker! This ought to be good!..."Contemporary American Society" and "Oral/Interpersonal Communication."

That's tough. Now if you wanted help with easy stuff like thermodynamics, differential equations or calculus, I am sure there are plenty here who could help.

AND NOW ON THE AP WIRE

SWAT Officers Surround Disabled Van After California Freeway Chase

Published: Jun 7, 2005 ALHAMBRA, Calif. (AP) - A driver led officers on a freeway pursuit through two Southern California counties Tuesday before he was stopped and surrounded by SWAT team members in armored vehicles.

The person in the van was armed and was sought for investigation of an attempted kidnapping, Ventura County sheriff's spokesman Eric Nishimoto said. The woman he had allegedly tried to kidnap was not hurt, he said.

The pursuit began in Ventura County northwest of Los Angeles and ended east of Los Angeles on Interstate 10 after the van ran over a spike strip and a California Highway Patrol officer used a cruiser to spin the van around.

The van ended up near a freeway wall and after a standoff with patrol units, armored cars were brought in to pin the vehicle in place.

Images of the chase were broadcast on television.

Lol, someone had better take over. Lord, the 91 is worse than the I-10. Wonder what kind of a mess that fwy is? People listening to the news will try and take that and intersect to surface streets and smaller fwy's like the 57, etc. just to try and get where they need to go. Yikes...

Fundraisers jilt Dean
By Alexander Bolton

Three top fundraisers at the Democratic National Committee have resigned at a time when its chairman, former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean, has come under fire from fellow Democrats for controversial comments and his Republican counterpart has raised more than twice as much money.

Democratic sources link the resignations to Dean’s decision to focus on raising money in small increments through the Internet, as he did during his 2004 presidential bid, and building up the party’s grassroots infrastructure while paying little attention to major Democratic donors.

Oh crap. Just look at that. I hope my bf took the 15 to the 210 to get to the SFV. It's probably all clogged, and he isn't the most patient guy.

should we all start a rousing chorus of "100 bottles of beer on the wall, 100 bottles of beer, if one of those bottles should happen to fall, 99 bottles of beer on the wall..."

Hehehe, there's a raven nest outside my back door. Every time I go out there, mommy and daddy go nuts. I could record that, and play it at full blast. No one could stand it for long. I've been taking my smoke breaks out the front door : )

For that matter, owls aren't too quiet either....
