When my oldest son was 4, I started reading Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone to him. We read a little bit every night. He loved it. He loves Harry Potter. Thrilled about the new book coming and the new movie. We're now about 2/3s of the way through book 2 and he's reading about a page of it at a time. I read another 2-3 pages for him and then it's off to bed. He's 5 and he can read just about anything. I'm going to have to work hard with him to keep up with his skills. He's going to have a lot going on in his world, starting Kindergarten next year. So, I'm going to keep pushing to make sure that our wonderful school system doesn't leave him wanting.
