OTOH, if the Koran that we provide for our prisoners is turned around and being used for agitprop aginst us, why should we stand still for that? Why should we continue to provide Korans? Just a thought to ponder.

Antonello is either an islamic apologist or a troll. Nobody can believe that the allahu akbar murder cult is the same as other religions.. Especially if they view the videos that I've provided.

The washington post also picked up the AP story, as did most others. You can be this version will not be.

Even if this is reported in CNN (which is shocking in itself) it's certain to not hit publication in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Actually, I think it will be reported throughout the Islam world, and will probably cause even more of an uproar that the last report, being viewed as false accusations.

To desecrate and destroy the idealogy and book that perverts humanity in the way that islam does is a virtue.

So if we destroy enough Korans, Islam will cease to exist? How many would it take, exactly? Does it count if they were printed specifically to be destroyed, or do they have to be taken from someone who already believes in it? And if they already believe it, will destroying their book make them stop believing?

Desecration serves two purposes: to incite a reaction from those who hold the desecrated item dear, and to give a warm, fuzzy feeling of power to the conquerer of the inanimate object. I see no long term gain from either of these. You obviously feel differently, since you seem to think no one had a clue about the 'absolute insanity' of the followers until they reacted to a story about the Koran getting flushed.

The problem is the allah akbar system itself for global domination.. Shinto Japan had it too.

Never thought of it like that. Interesting theory.

" For the same reason we would hand out bibles to any Christian detainees: we recognize free worship to be a basic human right."

We recognize freedom of religion. Islam is Not a religion, it's a blood cult, a war manual and idiology that incites hatred. It doesn't pass the religion sniff test.

There are plenty of instances in recent(Salem Witch Trials?) and old history where the Christian Bible was used to justify murder and war.

Yeah, those witch trials were just last week. If Christian start burning witches again we should all become very concerned and take action against those folks who are burning witches.

Actually, my personal feelings are that all religions are to some extent a means to exert control over the believing masses. However, I still respect the individual's right to believe in whatever he wants. If his beliefs cause him to take action that opposes mine, however, then I have a problem with it. Such is the case with terrorists and jihadists. They are my enemies. They read the Koran. I do not flushing a Koran down the toilet will make them stop. I would rather ignore the book and flush the terrorist down the toilet.

Oh, and just because someone doesn't lockstep with your exact beliefs doesn't make them a troll.

A very valid thought. Common sense says to quit giving the enemy ammo, especially after it has been demonstrably used against us.

C'mon. The Salem trials were 350 years ago, at least-I'm not counting. That's a very long time in terms of American history. Learn from history, don't perpetuate it. Again, wishing you well, but we Americans are reacting to what we see happening in today's news, not 350 years ago.

Nice of you to volunteer to sort out who's religion is permissible and who's isn't. I'm going to guess that yours passes the 'sniff test', right?

70% of the followers of this death cult are illiterate, and don't even know what the koran and supporting "scripture" says. It seems you don't either.
It MUST be discredited and destroyed, or we will keep chasing terrorists till the end of time, because it is what creates them in the first place.
It would only take about 100 years until it is forgotten.
Like it or not, there is a much bigger war looming. The Mullah's know that the information age is not going to be of any help recruiting, and their current system of brainwashing their captive populations from birth is crumbling. They are going to make every effort to escalate this war, and they will succeed. With the help of our own western media and bought media such as AP.
How many people it will kill depends how long we, our governments take to get our heads out of the sand and see the threat for what it really is. You can't ignore the muhammadan crusade that has been going on everywhere, Indonesia, phillipenes, Malaysia, Sudan Algeria etc. forever, because it has come here. 9/11 was a knock on the door announcing that.

No, the korn is no holy book. There is nothing holy in it except kill. The bible on the otherhand does not instruct anyone to kill. Those which trials and whatnot were done by fanatics who ignored the bible and gospels, not following it. Please name ONE instance were the bible was used to justify war. Not even the crusades. It was the Church that justified war, not the bible during those crusades, and those crusades were in respondse to the Muhammadan crusades which were massacuring hundreds of thousands across the ME. They were a defensive action to retake the holylands.

Who cares? These people are blood-thirsty mass-murdering savages who like to behead people and videotape it. No one can seriously believe that they have any faith in any kind of god.

Speaking of the word god, why is it that when moslems are quoted, they are always quoted as, "god this", and "god that"? Aren't they more likely to say, "allah"? Are the newspapers mis-quoting, or is there a prohibition against using the word allah?

"Actually, my personal feelings are that all religions are to some extent a means to exert control over the believing masses."

Obviously you know nothing about Christianity. It exerts no control over the "believing masses".It's a guide how to live a rewarding peaceful life, the choice is yours. You are enjoying the current freedom you have because of it.

Throughout history, it's been pagan tyrants who have done the majority of the massacring, with the exception of Islam, which again IS a war manual.

There are plenty of instances in recent(Salem Witch Trials?) and old history where the Christian Bible was used to justify murder and war. It is still a Holy book just as the Koran is a Holy book. The 9/11 attack was perpetrated by a small fraction of extremists who happen to be Muslims. It is childish and spiteful to disrespect other people's religion. And the Christian bible teaches these things does it not?
The precise view of the President nearly all of us here voted for twice.
