We had the 870's, but I saw a few Mossbergs making the rounds.

It's ugly enough to sleep with! The 1st thing I would do is remove them sights. They would be snagging on my pillow case.

"I wonder if that would make the California list of approved firearms?"

Dream on sucker. California is full of gun banning assholes.

In California they soon might have to stamp a serial number on every pellet, given the whacko legislature there.

Sorry, I forgot the sarcasm tag. At the time I didn't feel I needed one.

No sweat. But I have to ask: why do you still live there?

You know, they already have a couple of excellent anti-personnel shotguns already. Shotguns that you don't have to pull around on a cart to transport. Shotguns that don't need a 50 page owners manual to operate.

These are the Remington 11-87 Police Model and the Benelli Super 90 shotguns.

Check out the Saiga-12 shotgun. It isn't full auto, but it is legal, and at $500 to $700, such a deal it, I say.

And it is basically an AK-47. More reliable than which is hard to find.

Do remember tha right now the prices are artificially high due to no importer. But the factory is going to import themselves. Then the price should drop back to about $250.

It isn't stainless, but it is a combat proven design. And cheap!!

PS It popints like a dream - its cheap plastic stock, notwithstanding.

The Special Forces also tried to develop a better assault rifle to deal with Al-Qaeda. Same M4 rifle slightly bigger bore. Last year they went to 6.8MM bullets @ 115gr. They now are able to knock down the enemy at 400 meters or better. Problem is the gov't is giving special forces problems about this. Remington is behind the guys who developed this.

Funny Garand when he developed the M-1 used the same caliber .270 Cal. Very effective, yet MacArthur knocked it down. Look for 6.8MM X 43MM information if your interested.

Now they just need to come up with a belt fed model for base perimeter defense.
