Nixon was as big a Liberal as Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton. The left-wing wackos don't even realize their hatred for Nixon led them to destroy one of their own.

As far as I'm concerned, they did us a favor.

Watergate was payback for Alger Hiss, just like Ann Coulter said in "Treason".

Maybe so. But I still think they did us a favor. Not that they realized they were doing us a favor. Their hatred was so complete that they didn't even realize they were destroying one of their own.

I agree with you about Nixon being a liberal on everything except defense.

Hmmmmmm. Wasn't it Nixon who initiated the arms talks with the Soviet Union? I don't think it was called SALT. I think it was called START or something like that. But that just bolsters my point. The START talks evolved into Carter's SALT and SALT II talks.

The #1 best reason to elect GOP Prez. is that he is watched, scrutinized, probed, investigated, on end. But the watchers go blind when it's a RAT in office. Lie for him, stead of about him. Best reason to elect GOP!!

No big deal. I will always believe that if Nixon had a supportive Congress, he would have ended the Vietnam War in the early 70's by completely destroying the North Vietnamese.

I had to turn off Rush every day this week because I just hate watergate talk. Can't stand it.

What a coincidence. I've stopped listening to Sean Hannity because all he talks about is Michael Jackson and The Runaway Bride.

I couldn't care less about either.

Bill Sammon wrote a great book after 2000 - "At Any Cost: How Al Gore Tried to Steal the Election". It was stunning!

Bill traveled with the Gore campaign and the stuff Gore did and the attitude he had was very revealing about the dems in general.

So .. Rush's statement about the media's "Whatever It Takes" is right on the money and Bill Sammon's book already exposed it in 2000.

"Whatever it takes"

Agnew was a crook...no one forced him to take bribes when he was governor. It was wrong for Felt to leak information, but if Agnew had been innocent, there would have been no dirt to leak.

The country was better off with Ford who at least was honest.

I read somewhere that part of the reason Nixon selected Agnew was that he was part of the Rockefeller wing of the party, which Nixon needed to conciliate. Agnew had also had some harsh words for the rioters in 1968, which was the other reason for Nixon to pick him, but that (or his ability to deliver speeches Safire wrote for him when he was V.P.) didn't mean he was qualified to be President.
