This is one of the most chilling scenarios I could imagine. The range of the population that this would affect is horrific. Just makes me wonder, if there was a specific threat regarding milk or the food supply in general.

Hi All,

Just lurking to keep up with the news about this weekend, especially here in the Philly area. I don't plan to go anywhere near the NJ bridges into Philly. Let them all stay over there alone without me.

My first new chemo went well on Tuesday, alot easier so far than the previous 2 drugs. Keeping my prayers going for another remission.

I didn't know if you were 1 or 2 hours behind EST, it's 1. I was up a 5:00 to complete a plan, so I could email it and start enjoying my extended week-end. Glad to see that there are other early birds like myself! Thanks for the Deep Impact timeline...printed and bringing it with me. Have a fantastic and safe 4th!

Thanks so much, Vel.

With all my friends here and their prayers, how can I not achieve another remission!

Granny needs the same prayers. Miracles do happen and we need her superior googling skills!

Lithotripsy will be a piece of cake compared to kidney stones. :-)

I had my first experience with kidney stones a few months ago.

Gaads! I would rather have given birth to a bowling ball than go through that.

Best wishes and prayers for your speedy recovery.

Full scale deprogramming required for these people at the very minimum.

Bunker busting deprogramming, I think.

And TMP02.

Man faces prison time for plane rental

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- A man who served three years in prison for dropping a homemade bomb on a motorcycle shop from an airplane now faces up to 45 years in federal prison for altering documents that enabled him to fly again.

James David Edmiston, 39, was stripped of his pilot's license and sent to prison after dropping a pipe bomb on C&C Cycle shop in Russell in 1993. Edmiston was not a customer of the motorcycle dealership, and no one has determined why he targeted the shop, which has since moved to Chariton.

The blast blew a hole in the roof about the size of a basketball.

Gregory Morse, a Des Moines police officer assigned to the FBI's Central Iowa Joint Terrorism Task Force, said he learned in January that Edmiston had been released from a federal prison and, although unemployed, had purchased a Chevrolet Corvette and deposited $25,000 in a bank account.(snip)

I think it is because of the recent changes to restricted airspace and alot of pilots are still using "old" airspace maps to plot their trips. The area around the capitol and white house restricted areas are larger now.

I agree that that could be a major factor in the recent incidents. My observation is the intensity of the response. They must think a small plane threat is significant.

UN tsunami aid ship hijacked off the coast of Somalia

Sunday Times (South Africa) ^ | Thursday June 30, 2005 14:58 - (SA)

NAIROBI - A United Nations-chartered vessel carrying aid for Somali tsunami victims has been hijacked off the coast of Somalia amid a flurry of new piracy warnings for the area, the World Food Programme (WFP) has said.
....
The WFP hijacking was the sixth reported piracy incident in Somali waters since March, which included one earlier this month in which a US naval destroyer intervened to save a besieged vessel.

All five earlier incidents have involved armed pirates who, in at least two cases, took crews hostage.

In March, the US advised western shipping firms of possible speedboat-launched terrorist attacks on vessels in the Indian Ocean off the coast of east Africa, including Somali waters.

This area has been a hot bed of piracy and the local nations will need to take a more agressive stance. Shippers, however, are handicaped in that these straits are the best channels to get products through the area with out a long route further south.

13 bodies recovered from U.S. helicopter crash site

http://www.cbc.ca/story/world/national/2005/06/30/newtaliban050630.html

Seventeen U.S. personnel were believed to be on the aircraft when it went down Tuesday while on a mission against al-Qaeda fighters in a mountainous region near Asadabad, in Kunar province.

Another seven troops are unaccounted for, some of them soldiers who were already on the ground when the Chinook helicopter crashed.

But the military is still hopeful that some of those who are missing are still alive. However, it's possible they could have been captured.

11 missing. Protect them, Lord

Security Scare Evacuates Akron-Canton Airport
http://www.airportbusiness.com/article/article.jsp?id=2559&siteSection=4

A computer keyboard and watch in a piece of luggage left unattended Wednesday afternoon at a security checkpoint at Akron-Canton Airport forced an hourlong evacuation of the terminal. (snip)

The owner of the luggage was never found. (snip)

It was the second incident involving a suspicious package in two days at a Northeast Ohio airport.

A man was stopped Tuesday afternoon at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport after security found suspicious material inside his luggage.

That package turned out to be a battery connected to a clock.
