19th century = much less government intrusion, no income tax. Sounds like a plan to me.

McCain could well be the third party candidate.

Well, I know some people consider him to be nuts but UNLESS he's gone totally delusional, I would doubt he'd go for that option.

The main reason is he can't win and that would be the end of his political career.

Having said that, who knows? It's politics and any scenario is open for play.

I was channel surfing past Oprah and Tom the other day when she asked him if he had ever "felt like this before" and he shook his head. I wonder what his wife Nicole was - chopped liver?

Oprah is pushing the biggest pack of self on the throne garbage that has ever been promoted. The celebrity culture pats each other on the back each time they dump one spouse and move on to the next. I think the answer is that the Hollyweird crowd believes their own press. They play "musical marriage" like musical chairs. They marry, then when one of them hears the other one fart and figures out they're really only human after all, it's time for a DIVORCE.

The bicycle accident was in 1999. Or maybe it was jogging accident.

That was glaring out at me, too. And what about the audience? They just wanted their idol to be happy! It's really insane how we give celebrities a pass.

Good tagline.

I was not aware of the Family and Medical Leave Act being repealed. :)

Well that's the least they could do after encouraging the behavior that leads to the growth of diseases that require people to take time off.

You know, you can't be informed when you just don't care. And unfortunately I think that number is higher than 10%.

Yup...reminds me of the old joke:

Question: Are you ignorant or apathetic?
Answer: I don't know and I don't care.

Defines the great 10% middle or 10%+.
