"...ship lifting system" ?
I'm guessing that is a Euro or Indian term for "Drydock"
Dry docks?
As a former citizen of India, I'm wondering if they were finalyl able to get running water to my grandfather's village....
I know what you mean. Still I think this is a good thing for both countries. THe USA need to form a good strategic relationship with India. I do not see this as a threat at all to the USA if we can form a good alliance with them. It is one more hedge against China in that region.
It's a sytem that lifts ships
"ship lifting system?"
It's a device which can lift an entire ship to shore so that repair works can be carried out on it.
The term dry dock is used in the UK, I think.
And in the US
Excellent take on the report.
As a former citizen of India, I am amused how so many former citizens of India manage to find a way to look down on their former homeland by concentrating on the negatives instead of the positives.
Note*
*A picture of the ship lifting system didn't make it past the censors.

Nope.
But it is in the 19th 21st-century five-year plan and is tentitively scheduled for 2095.
<];^)~<
That seems more like a picture of your wife rather than a pic. of the ship lifting system .
Tell your idiot grandfather to get out of the village. He sounds like he suffers from the same diesease as the ethopians and sudanese who keep hoping their barren land will become lush and green...

It seems like a waste of money. What is an Indian navy going to do? Facilitate the invasion of Sri Lanka?
LOL! =)
We have a word for such losers...
SHITs: self hating indian toadies...
Not really Sri Lanka, but make sure the Chinese don't blockade the arabina sea with their port-of-call in Pakistan...
