Isn't May Day the day the Soviets would celebrate communism and denounce capitalism? Seems fitting.
Up to now, Vermont does not elect Democrat or Socialist Senstors. Run a strong Republican and you may be surprised.
Jeffords ran as a GOPer and swirched. The Vermont GOP is aware that Jeffords used them and their money. It will not happen again.

and you can prove that how?
My half neighbors think it is a privilege to pay taxes or hate America or both. They are brainwashed almost beyond belief. To make matters worse Vermont is a park community for rich libs from Boston and New York. To try and form a new generation of progressives (Neo-Communists) the teachers try to brainwash the kids in school into the liberal mind set. Griping about it doesn't work because the majority of adults agree with it or accept it since they are mostly left wing boomer's or hippies. Only about 30% of the kids fall for it though. The the kids are the future and the hope. As far as I can tell we are usually outnumbered 1.5 to 1 at the polls. Every time I almost convince some wing nuts to vote Republican, the Republicans betray us (like last week) and the wing nuts laugh at me and say the Republicans are just like the RATs. While I know that isn't true, if you look at the big issues only, there isn't much difference.
Vermont is no longer part of New England.
It has become another one of the five boroughs of New York City, invaded - like New Jersey and parts of Florida - by left-wingers fleeing the mess they created in Manhattan, the Bronx, etc.
As for socialists - Vermont ALREADY has socialist representation - LEAHY.
Please. Elect this moron your governor if you feel the need to keep him from earning an honest living. Please spare the rest of the country from having to suffer him.

No matter how severe their liberal snobbery, they won't feel that way about taxes when top tax rates are 70%. Check out the election results from 1980. Reagan did FAR better in New England than he did in the South.
leahy is a dim
His voting will be no different from the liberals that already have Vermonts 2 senate seats. I'm looking on the bright side of this. He could prove to be a big thorn in the Democrats side.
That's being overly optimistic. Remember that he's been in the House for decades, and has not been a thorn in their side.
True, but he's in a much better position to get attention now. He's not going to make life easy for the Dems should they get back into office.
