My mistake. He can run in 2032, which is 17 years.
And yet the 2006 budget is higher than the 2005 budget. Blunt isn't cutting government, he's just redirecting it.
Are you listening, Gov. Rick Perry and the Texas legislature? These RINOs just passed a 12% increase in spending for the next two years, in spite of the Texas economy being up on blocks like an old jalopy.
I wish Missouri every success so that other states see that nanny-state government can be reigned in if real conservatives are in power.
Cost inflation will cause the budget to rise even if none of the items are changed. If medical costs are higher, more children in schools, costs will go up without any legislative changes. Of course tax revenues should also go up.
It took a while, but we finally got the government that this state needed. 12 years of democrats in the governor's office along with a democratic majority for most of those years have almost ruined this state for business. It seemed their answer was always "raise taxes" to pay for everything that came down the slot.
I don't mean to sound harsh, but there are people on the medicad payrolls that do not need to be based on what they make.
I look forward to more cuts to bring government more in line and less intrusive.
I wish Texas all the best in rerouting the RINOs and putting real red blooded conservatives in office. After all, during the Civil War, Texas housed the Missouri Confederate government in exile.
