No, Barbara, it was NOT outrageous then, and it's just the beginning of what we need to do now.
Mornin' Leapfrog...how bout adding me to your ping list also. I hear you have the forms, LOL.
Excellent article. Thanks for the ping Char.
Morning'. Looks like I already added you by virtue of something you posted.
(Way to go!)
I actually don't think this is a silly comparison... for the non-political junkies, it's a very effective way to illustrate the single-minded path of Islamicists. George Lucas played it out on screen, people can translate it into real life with not too much trouble. The more people who see what is going on, the better!
Barbara - GREAT column!
Christianity has no borders. Islam does. Islam is a political system as much as it is a religion.
When slaves are seized in jihad, they must be taken to an Islamic territory to be divided up.
Their legal system defines 3 types of individual: muslims, Jews/Christians (people of the book), and "everybody else" in that pecking order for rights.
"Like Bush said, "You're either with us or against us" and from my view "You ain't F..king with us!"
Tough talk only. Nothing positive will happen unless the government makes a move toward containing the Muslim threat. But according to Congress and the President it is a religion of peace. (Incomprehensible stupidity.)
Besides, turning against Islam will make you a racist and will not get you elected next time. How are these politicians then going to make a living?
A non-sequitur? Whatever you think of her actual argument, she does look knee-jerk and a bit unbalanced. Lucas says something about Bush, and she "cannot resist" digging into the Muslims? Where's the logic there?
Stock isn't a bit self-conscious about the association of "Republican" with "Arab-basher," which is not the sort of thing the party encourages. And her previous columns indicate that she does have a screw loose about Muslims. She really "can't resist" any opportunity for that sort of thing.
Whatever one thinks of Islam, Stock doesn't contribute much to the discussion.
"Well I've got Col. Hunt's book, and I've finished reading about half of it so far, but I can't recommend it."
Well .. you're entitled to your opinion.
I read about a lot of things that I didn't have any previous knowledge about. And .. while a lot of FReepers may know a lot more than the general public knows .. I'd say Col Hunt's book is going to STUN a lot of people. Just because you know - don't assume everybody else knows too.
And .. even if I may disagree with some of the things the Col says .. I try to understand why he feels the way he does. For people who've never been through the military training Col Hunt has .. I can see why he feels so frustrated. He's a military person and he sees military solutions to situations - and reality says that military solutions are not always the answer to everything.
You should take it for what it is - NOT WHAT YOU THINK IT SHOULD BE. It won't agree with our thinking - and that's what I like about it - it challenges how I look at things vs. how the Col looks at things. I think that's good .. not bad.
Oh yeah .. have you called Norman Minetta yet ..??
You and I are outnumbered 10:1.
The public schools are churning out neutered males every year, and fathers are not teaching their sons to be men.
BLOAT
The thing that really turned me, was the Jedi's dedication to the collective over the individual. The individual is nothing to them. They would sacrifice anyone for the betterment of all. Except the one they sacrificed....
You will need to try much harder.
As usual, Barbara is exactly correct. But Americans are too distracted with bread and circuses to even care that they are an endangered species. Add the dissembling and lies of the abortion party to the mix and, well, it may already be too late to survive the onslaught of evil Islam. And we're paying for the conquest from Wahhabism --with our petro dollars-- which one major political party doesn't want to fix until they claw and lie their way back into power.
