"The calls won't quit, and they're almost all against Lindsey," state Republican Party chairman Katon Dawson said.

Let's keep the calls, faxes and emails rolling into Graham's office. He shouldn't be able to go into his office again without facing what he did and realizing he has to undo the damage he has caused to keep his job.

He would like that. It has to be something so odeous to his senses that for the rest of his miserable existence, he cannot escape the memory. Maybe a remote island. With no t.v., microphone, or larry king. With a gun, one bullet, and helen thomas in a thong.

That should do it.

Evidently Graham has not heard Kennedy, Leahy, and assorted other lowlife dems spewing ugly vitriol towards the nominees.

Fox News reported tonight that Lindsey Graham said that if the Dims filibuster Myers and/or Saad, he (Graham) will NOT vote to impose the Constitutional (sometimes called Nuclear by the MSM) option.

So, Graham lied to Sean Hannity yesterday when he was on his radio program. Figures.

Graham must be defeated.

He will never get my vote again. Under any circumstances. When I called his upstate office the woman told me that the calls were running "50/50." She's as delusional as her boss.

How about shipwrecked with Ginger and Maryann who have discovered they are gay?

"Hillary has something really juicy in that FBI files of his thats hidden in her office"

Perhaps he's hoping for the Veep spot on her 2008 run for the White House.

To me, Lindsey Graham should be the focal point for conservatives' efforts to build a long-term Senate majority. Sure, there are plenty of Senators who are far more odious than Lindsey Graham; unfortunately, most are entrenched, or likely to be replaced with equally unsatisfactory public servants. Graham, however, increasingly finds himself at odds with a South Carolina electorate which has moved rapidly to the right in recent years. He presents the #1 target of opportunity. Let's go get him, y'all.

Good analysis.

In the case of Chafee, we may yet be able to get the last laugh, if the GOP is willing to say "no soup for you" when the 2006 elections roll around. He's already soft at home, and needs the GOP to help ensure his re-election. I had hoped that this would convince him that he needs to behave for the next few months, but so much for that. He probably figures the party will help him no matter what he does (and who can blame him for assuming this?)

Expect him to vote against everything the White House pushes in an attempt to boost his cred back home. The problem for him, of course, is that the voters of RI may well wonder why they should vote for a Dim Lite when they can have the real thing, especially if the real thing has a real shot at actually winning.

And let's be real - if we lose Chafee's seat to the Dims, is it really such a big loss? Our job here, then, is to to let the party know that we don't want one dime going to Chafee's re-election.

I don't know, but it would be worth looking into if a S.C. resident.

folks with southern accents are stupid!

South Carolina voters are smart enough to have:
- A Republican governor.
- Two Republican Senators.
- Five out of seven Republican representatives.
- A Republican majority in both houses of the legislature.
- Almost no unions.

Match that up against any state to the north of us.

If Lindsey thinks he did such a great service to the Republicans he must be asking himself why the Dems are celebrating and the Pubbies are depressed. The guy doesn't have boots or brains big enough for the job we gave him.

I spoke to a lot of relatives in SC today. Next election is going to be the Graham option which is anybody but Graham. I live right across the SC line and will be checking as to how I can change my residence for about 6 months along with anybody else I can persuade.

There are some people on the right and the left, (who) expect you not only to vote with them, but to hate the people they hate. Count me out."

This is very typical shiftiness. No one is ordering Senator Graham to "hate" anyone. We simply want him to confirm pro-family judges to the bench. His compromise has hurt these efforts.

Hi! I'm Lindsay Graham. I wear panties and eye liner, and I love it when the Democrats bend me over and make me squeal like a Deliverance pig! I'm prissy, and love to hold hands with Harry Reid in the Senate cloakroom when Frist can't see me! I'm not worried about being re-elected because in my state not a single adult can read, so who cares! When I saw my name in the NYT's today I
spritzed in my pants! Watch me run for President!

" Hillary has something really juicy in that FBI files of his thats hidden in her office."

I consider your comment a rationalization (a reasonable rationalization, but a rationalization none the less). If Graham is being threatened, then he could simply let the FBI know (since they know already, anyway), set up a sting, and send Hillary back to Arkansas - whoops, I meant New York.

You're too generous, Graham sold all of us out. For what reason - I doubt we'll ever know. It would be great to dump in the 2006 Primary, but he's not on the ballot until 2008.

"Ollie got my vote. Warner will be the opposition once again."

Perhaps Ollie will run against Warner this time - as Warner just handed him the Republican base.

It would be justice finally served.

But I will not use this job to hate people.

This peculiar aside caught my attention too. there is something quite wrong about being defensive when no one is pushing. Hating people had nothing to do with this issue and its resolution, except on the part of the 'rats.

It may be time to pull this guy's pass.
