Sorry, moondoggie---I was having a running conversation leftover from last night so my previous answer was based on real time.
I see my prediction from this thread was wrong, but I'm not upset.
My comment this morning about not denying he was being filibustered refered to the dems saying last night they were not doing a filibuster (until Dingy Harry slipped and admitted it).
So, I predicted incorrectly. So what? Once a filibuster was underway I called a spade a spade.
All will be well.
Just wanted to rib you alittle. No maliciousness intended. You weren't alone in your prediction.
We Repubs have a tendency to put too much trust in the opposition, I think.
And we always forget that they really can't be trusted at all which they prove over and over again.
OK--No prob.
:)
I don't know what the take is here on FR, but I suspect the filibuster on Bolton was pay-back by (or to) the more hysterical Democrats (e.g., Barbara Box-o-Rox, and her ilk) for the "Deal" which guarantees the confirmation of Bush's more conservative judicial nominees.
