The old guy held out for the RIGHT PRICE dude. It went on for years until he got what he wanted. There's no story here. The environmentalists are the culprits.

This had nothing to do with Jeb, I swear an idiot is truly born every minute. This story is not new. It was your eco friends that wanted the land. This deal started before Jeb was even in office, I notice your source failed to mention anything about that.

"an idiot is truly born every minute"

I am sure you know.

Jeb Bush is in charge of the executive branch. If he wanted to, he could have got behind this. But Schiavo is dead and this property is taken by eco-terrorists. So I do blame him.

He is not king. He did get behind the Schiavo case. You seem to be upset that he will not violate the law to advance his beliefs.

So if Jeb were to have broke the law to serve his own beliefs, would that not be called Socialism?

On what is our law based? The Constitution, and that we forget. Nowhere in the Constitution does it even remotely indicate that innocent life can be taken against the wishes of the individual such as happened with Schiavo, who left no such instructions. (unless you trust the husband with girlfriend and other children).

Furthermore, eminent domain is valid only for national interest. Everglade restoration is a national interest that deprives people of their property? Gimme' a break. If he wanted to sell the property, let him auction it off to the highest bidder. He didn't have that option.

Jeb and George are both guilty of continuing to push a socialist, globalist agenda. They wouldn't be breaking the law, not the real law, by overturning these ridiculous efforts and rulings. (Two more words: illegal immigration) They would be returning it to its roots.

Someday we might actually have real conservatives running things. Until that day, enjoy the slide to decadence and totalitarianism comrades.

yep it's all Bush's fault. Let's have them extend and use their executive power whenever they see something they dont agree with or want to happen.

WOULD THAT REALLY MAKE YOU HAPPY? Nope.

totalitarianism?

Let's see here, why don't we have an executive ignore laws that are on the books. Gee, we wouldn't look like Russia or anything today now would we?

In fact, let's just give all the power to the executive branch so they can make the laws too, completely bypassing the legislature. I mean hell, it worked in Iraq!!!

give me a friggin break

Thanks for the laugh. You are joking right? Otherwise that was a rather pathetic rant.

"Let's have them extend and use their executive power whenever they see something they dont agree with or want to happen."

No problem with me....while you are in Iraq we are being invaded on the southern border.

While we are killing the enemy in Iraq, we are killing innocent life here.

While we are trying to give people freedom in Iraq, our property is confiscated here.

If I thought that Bush was a true Constitutionalist, I would applaud some show of backbone, even force. Alas, I must admit, I don't trust him personally that much.

PS By the way, I never said or even implied it was ALL the Bushes fault so that argument doesn't work on me (I thought only liberals argue against points that aren't being made.) But they aren't doing anything to fight against it either as a true conservative should.

Trite comments don't work on me. Make a substantive argument or go back watching MTV.

I am a conservative first and a Republican second. Living in Massachusetts, I have had to be. I had hoped for much better from the Bushes. If they have sucked you in, too bad for you.
