David Asmun, of Fox News, has just reported that a deal may have been reached and could be announced within the hour.
If true, the RNC will receive no more funds from me!

Is likely to be a mistake.

Spineless. The Republicans absolutely do NOT know how to wield majority power.

Me either, unless the deal includes everybody getting an up and down vote.

I imagine you're talking about the Senate and the Filibuster/Nuke Option talks. I'll bet the GOP rolls over again, thanks to the gutless wonders in it's leadership.

This fight is about the Supreme Court battle that is coming soon. If the deal was to get an up or down on the 7 that are being fillibustered in exchange for not doing the "nuke option" -- that's fine by me.
To: beandog
I agree with you on that, but why would demorats go along with that sort of deal?

It all depends on who blinked. We have the rest of this session of Congress to pull the trigger on getting rid of the filibuster. If you can get what you want without pulling that trigger, why not?

MIGHT be a "sellout"?
Rush is talking about this now.

Patience. I will wait to see details if some sort of deal was actually reached.
To: Toonces T. Cat
NO,NO,NO,
He didn't say a deal was reached, he said 11-12 MODERATE SENATORS were meeting ai this hour on a compromise, that could come within the hour

If First cuts and runs, damn him to hell. The filibuster has to be done away with now or the Democrats will use it for a Supreme Court appointment.

I will NOT be happy with the rumored four appointees being voted on. We have Supremes to nominate, and I want some that won't totally destroy the country before my kids can grow up.
