This article pretty much sums up my disappointment in the Republican administration. There will be those who will say "at least the Dems aren't in power". At this point, would we really know the difference? Why isn't the President spending his "political capital" where it counts?

I definitely agree. I'm giving thoughts to switching to a third party just because I'm fed up with the Republican party on different important issues. I'd rather have Republicans in office than Democrats of course, but it's getting to the point where there's not a whole lot of difference.

Perhaps two more points to consider; Kim Jong Il and the Islamic Republic of Iran are assembling fission weapons or will be shortly on His watch. And the Pakistani nuclear physicist that pimped out the technology is running scott free. That disturbs me greatly.

We've got seventy years of socialist indoctrination to undo, not only in government, but in education as well. We could attempt to implement our entire wish list, and be voted out in 2008. We will not turn this ship around in a day or a year or even a decade. I don't know about anyone else here, but I'm in for the marathon, not the sprint.
