The writer of this article is apparently a disciple of Nostradomas by the evident ability to take any semi-nebulous statement or action and redefine it to fit the result of current events. What a doofus.

Republicans want to do away with the filibuster since it is getting in their way of having things the way that they want it.Nonsense. Democrats changed the rules and we are fixing that.

What part of that statement do you disagree with? Do you want Iraq to turn out like Vietnam? Do you think we weren't also trying to bring freedom to the Vietnamese like we're doing now in Iraq? Comparing Lucas to Moore is preposterous.

Lucas isn't part of Hollywood. He works independently.

He acknowledged an uncomfortable feeling that the United States was in danger of losing its democratic ideals, like in the movie.
Yep, we're in danger alright, from the fools that write this stuff. They have shifted the paradigm so much their view of sanity is insanity. The United States gets rid of of one of the world's worst mass murdering dictators and declares war on terrorism while promoting democracy, but we're in danger of losing our democratic ideals.... Yeah, right!

I was almost thinking about seeing this.

I can't find the quote now, but I believe it was the producer who made the comparison in an interview to Iraq and that the insurgents always win.
