Islam never had a Reformation. The sooner Americans understand this, then we'll go a long way towards winning the War On Terror. Pat Robertson simply stated openly what every knows to be true, but which political correctness enjoins from being said. That Islam is a fanatical cult that spreads itself by violence and terror and which is no more willing to accept genuine co-existence with non-Muslims than Communists did with free peoples. We live in a multi-cultural world in which the obvious facts of life cannot be brought to light. A refusal to acknowlege what we don't want to see doesn't make it any less true. The enemy and the danger is still out there.

From where I sit, the beleifs of Scientologists are no more ridiculous than those of Muslims, and perhaps less so. They ae both laughable.

Muslims are more dangerous because, as you say, they are more numerous. They are also more committed to abject brainlessness.

I'm an American of German decent (mostly). During WWII my father fought as an enlisted infantryman in North Africa, Italy, Belgium and Germany. He was wounded three times and was awarded the bronze star.

His theater commander was a German America - Dwight Eisenhower. Other German American commanders included Chester Nimitz and Roy Geiger who fought against the Japanese and Carl Spatz, who did a pretty good job of knocking his ancestral homeland flat.

There were a handful of traitors the vast majority of German Americans served honorably and well in both World Wars against Germany.

Can someone please name me one American Muslim who has contributed in any positive way to the to America's cause in the war on terror?

The fact is, islam is a monotheistic religion. If you're prepared to say that islamic beliefs are just as ridiculous as scientology beliefs, you're going to encounter some resistance there, I expect.

Indeed, what makes islam more dangerous than scientology (and other such fake religions) is its long history, its claim to being the ultimate monotheistic belief system, and its large number of adherents. We ignore them at our peril.
