Agreed. Republicans need to stop wishing for some magic constitutional solution and start hitting the Democrats hard for making an unreasonable (ab)use of their power, and demand that they start giving clear, intelligible reasons for being opposed to these nominees.

It is non-sensical to accept that, since the Senate can make its own rules, that they can adopt rules which violate the Bill of Rights and the Constitution in whole or in part. Did you read the whole article? The point was that he had changed his position. He was explaining what his prior position was.
