Anyone who's ever read the novel Slapstick-one of his more underrated works, if you ask me-will appreciate the brilliance of placing the epicenter of humanity's dissolution in the spot currently occupied by the United Nations.
AND THIS WAS BACK IN THE '70S, NO LESS!
How prescient he was.
Kurt Vonnegut did have his stuff together.
Aside from Douglas Adams-and perhaps Ray Bradbury-he's probably the only sci-fi writer whose work I read on a routine basis.
