Based on the comments of the anti-immigrant folks you would think that aliens comprise much more than 27% of the criminals in jails.

Did you even read the article? The article deals with criminal aliens. I dislike all criminals, regardless of whether they're Americans or foreigners. How about you, do you like or dislike criminals?

And anyway, what does this have to do with being anti-immigrant?

33% isn't enough for you? Let's recruit more criminals...criminal aliens only.

If they do, kiss the Republican Party goodbye.

Oh, they will, and the traitors in our Congress will pass it right on through. Kennedy will love it if it sinks the Republicans, and obviously, McCain will too. I can't believe people in AZ haven't started a recall petition because him of his stand on illegals/amnesty!!

The same anymosity exists in Europe but I think the Unions are creating a lot of it because they are losing a lot of control, money, and power to people who come in and work for minimal wages and are still happy to have a job. The scare mongering mirrors ours but it happens comes from the left.

The "scare mongering" comes from people who realize that Western Civilization is in danger from invasion, from an influx of Muslims, Mexicans and criminals. Some things are more important than cheap labor. If this were a good thing California would not be teetering on bankruptcy. If cheap labor was such a good thing, Mexico would be the one of the most prosperous countries in the world.

If our country becomes infested with a third world population we will suffer from third world politicians.
