I recall about 5 years ago a golfer took his 9 Iron to a goose on the fairway and ended up in it deep thanks to the local PETAphiles. Good. I hope he had a hell of a bad time with it.

Right, because when you get to stomp and kill an ugly animal, you get to triumphantly stand over it's body and proclaim yourself the big, manly beast-slayer, eh?
Can't do that with geese...

Sounds like someone needs to talk to his mama and his pediatrician, 'cause he was misdiagnosed at birth with maleness.

So then, what you're telling is, I've been just lucky, huh? Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa!
I just got back from my golf league. While out there I remembered that really, really, bad goose isn't a goose at all but a SWAN.
In fact I'm told that courses put swans in their ponds to drive off geese! I'm not vouching for that but I will say that one swan I've referred to could drive off a lot bigger critter than a goose! ;o)

Oh yeah, I would never mess with a swan. You wanna talk about mean and irreconcilable? That's a swan.

When a kid I read in a book the way to handle an overly aggressive goose is grab him by the neck and twirl him around a couple times. If you do that to the "Alpha" Goose, he and the rest of the gang become less frisky.
Years later was I able to put theory into practice. It works.

I was wrong about that part.
