To carry that reasoning to its logical conclusion, why
not exempt them for murder, rape, and other felonious
charges since they are illegal and not subject to our
laws? Every time we see or listen to the daily news we
hear about insolvent hospitals, bankrupt school districts,
higher taxes for prisoner incarceration and social services
and welfare. Lou Dobbs recently said that 20% of all
prisoners are illegals! California alone (a bankrupt
state!!) spends $450 million per year incarcerating illegals. It has been proven beyond all serious doubt
that this foreign invasion is costing Americans billions
of dollars above and beyond what they contribute. Both
political parties are out of touch with the people ---
the vast majority of whom (by every poll) are OPPOSED
to the illegal sunami. Sadly, we conservatives must admit
that George Bush is part of the problem - not the
solution.

What about the thousands of vehicles stolen and used by the police and govt workers in mexico. we cant get them back.

The culpability for all this nonesense lies in Washington.

The Federal Government is all too eager to attach strings to federal dollars for local aid on every conceivable issue.

It should hold bakc any Federal funding to any local jurisdiction which directly or indirectly refuses to cooperate in enforcing immigration laws.

Here we go again.

Any question why they call him 'one bill Gil'?

The funny thing is, the person responsible for the continuation of the impounds is... Gil Cedillo. He was offered the chance to have a bill providing drivers licenses for illegals IF those licenses were marked to indicate they were for driving only, and he turned it down. And this is just B.S., anyway. This isn't about driving, it's about having defacto citizenship papers, and his action last proves that.

Thank goodness for those Minutemen.

It is just about killing the liberals that "a bunch of old farts as stated by one of the Minute mens wives" went down on the border and stopped an invasion.

Someday they will write a book and make a movie about how big bad brave macho Mexico had it's butt kicked by the caring citizens who worked on this project.

Heck these caring people scared the Mexicans so bad that their Army even threatened to invade.

American politics is now the arena of a massive power grab by people and organizations who either don't care much for the faith and principles of our Founding Fathers, or who simply hate them altogether. In other words, it doesn't matter a whole lot who we elect; though I suppose the dismantling of our borders, culture, tradition and language will be a little slower in coming with the Republican Party in control, (but not much, their conservative rhetoric amounts to little more than a carot on a stick).

As I see it, conservatives are supposedly in control of SCOTUS, both Houses, the Governorships and the Executive branch, in other words, the whole damn country. So why are we deteriorating and sinking deeper and deeper into the liberal abyss every day??? Because they're counterfeit conservatives and frauds, that's why.

When any conservative Christian leader with REAL backbone or REAL smarts tries to throw his hat into the political ring he will get marginalized, drummed out and eaten alive by the bloodthirsty media and by the corrupt politicians who have a solid foothold in government. If a Davy Crocket or an Abe Lincoln lived in this age and tried to become a Senator or President they'd become fodder for Leno and Letterman and wouldn't get as far as Town Manager.

Didn't the Founding Fathers have something to say on that subject?

I'm sure it's crossed many minds but we've become so PC
that many are afraid to admit the obvious. The hard fact
is that our borders are out-of-control -- and that millions
of illegal invaders have entered and are now -- as we
communicate -- subverting our democracy and our social
and economic system. I regret to say that the only thing
that will bring us to our senses is a terrorist attack
perpetrated by terrorists who come who come across the
borders. I hope if (when) it happens it won't be some
kind of dirty or nuclear device that makes 9/11 look
look like a children's birthday party. It's hard for me
to believe but after nearly four years we are still the
great Superpower that can't control its own borders
and prevent an illegal foreign invasion. I'm sure Bin
Laden and his cohorts are laughing -- and making plans!!
