Oh, I thought it was so I could see you make yourself look silly.
;-)
I still believe Lee Peterson helped his son get rid of Laci's body. I have no evidence - just a gut feeling.
I could not understand why a family would help their son to possibly leave the country - unless they knew he was guilty. When Scott showed up in San Diego with a new hair color, a beard and mustache, his brother's driver's license and $10,000 in cash .. it made me a little suspicious that the family knew more than they were telling.
And .. the father will not look directly at people - even during interviews. He looks up or down or sideways - but never eye-to-eye. It's a very telling sign the father has something to hide.
I won the last go round. Do you want to go through humiliation again?
ROFL
Ah, unless you predicted he wasn't guilty, you didn't win anything.
And I think deep down, even Laci's parents know that--though their anger at the defense of a murderer is COMPLETELY understandable. I'd be mad, too.
I remember seeing the murderer sitting at the trial every day, looking (I thought) very confident that he'd get away with his crime. And my blood boiled. I was satisfied justice had been done when the verdict and sentence were announced.
The Rocha family knows the tragic story of their beautiful daughter. All the words in the world the Peterson's could say would never ever ever be enough. Not for eternity.
And the delusion the Peterson's are choosing to buy into--that Scott is a victim--are the natural, sad consequences of a parent's love for their child. I am not excusing their hateful words or saying they are right or even justified. I am saying they need to be held up to God so they can deal with reality.
If you're right, I hope the police are slowly, quietly building the case.
Nah, I never predicted he was guilty or not. All I said was that there was not sufficient evidence, in any court of law in this country, to warrant a conviction.
I still say that there was not sufficient evidence to convict.
He'll be set free eventually for that very reason, no matter what the court rules are.
My opinion: He is as guilty as sin BUT he should not have been convicted based upon the meager or actually no evidence that was presented at trial.
Correction: No direct evidence.
And you're still wrong.
Oh? Do you have some direct evidence to which the rest of the world is not privy?
Please share it with us now!
The rest of the world thinks he's guilty.
You seem to have a problem comprehending the English language.
Please refer to the 4th paragraph in post # 87.
Which part of that do you not understand?
I think he is guilty, as I stated in post # 87.
That is not what I have been saying in reference to direct evidence.
While I think he is guilty.....there was no direct evidence presented at trial and based upon that then he should have walked.
Maybe this post will clear it up for you.
Got it now? :-)
Now who can't comprehend English?
I still say you're wrong.
Hey, hey, the cone of silence! A couple of weeks back, a troll had a post that included the phrase "weapon of transparency." First thing I thought of was the cone!
God, I miss Maxwell Smart.
When are people going to figure out that the phrase "circumstantial evidence" means "evidence?" Jeez.
Yes, Lee... that's right. You're right! Lee, I think you should spend every last dime you have trying to get Scotty free. Take out another mortgage on all your properties. Borrow money on the side. Borrow lots and lots of money. Sell your land and possessions. Borrow more money from friends. Oops, scratch that one, huh? Take all of this money and find a team of lawyers who will spend it trying to free Scotty. Even if you fail to free Scotty boy, I believe you will get yourself and family to the place you richly deserve.
Best,
TwF
What was that his mom told him?
Oh, that's right. "Deny, deny, deny."
Lee's statement makes me wonder about his IQ. It has to be low. Not only is it a stupid statement (or perhaps sets the stage for a book deal), he also hired Geragos who practically convicted his son in the media prior to the trial, did not bother showing during jury's verdict, and gave a poor closing.
Then why didn't the defense put her on the stand, Lee?
