"
The page on the Internet auction website has so far registered 6.3 million hits, far more than any other item ever advertised.
The bidding for the metallic grey 1999 Golf IV in mint condition started at 9,999 euros.
That is the price Benjamin Halbe, 21, bought it for in January from a used car dealer. He had no idea that its previous owner, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, would become Pope. "
WHAT A LUCKY STIFF!!! Lord, why not send me a piece of luck like that!! I am tempted to envy.

Isn't the euro about 1.5 dollars to one euro?
150,000 bucks for a VW Golf you paid 10 grand for is a pretty good turn around.
You might even call it blessed.
This should open up a few relgious "golf" jokes....
Moses, the Pope, and the Dalai Lama were playing golf.....

You know, I think about some of the cars I owned and when I got "lucky" in the back seat and stuff like that.
I guess I'm going to hell now...

I'm upping the bid to 100,000 pesos.

Impulse buying...he'd better sell it while it's hot.
I'll never win the lottery because I never buy a ticket. (But I'd never win it if I did.)

Maybe I'm being Amerocentric.
But, I've always thought of the Holy Father...

as an Impala sort of guy.
