Only Democrats and their Alice in Wonderland way of "thinking" could come up with these two totally contradictory and mutually exclusive positions and think it makes sense. Only the Democratic brain can begin to fathom the supreme illogic of saying someone should pledge in 2006 to serve 6 years in the Senate but run for president in 2008. Or are they just so dumb they think she can serve in both institutions.

Actually, it isn't contradictory. I had to read it closely to understand, but the use of the word "if" is what makes it make sense. While 65 percent say she should serve a full term if she runs for re-election to the Senate, 61 percent say she should run for the White House. The use of the word "also" adds to the confusion, but where the word is placed means that respondents aren't saying she should do both.

There was no immediate comment from Clinton.

The Smartest Woman In The World needs time to sort all this out...

The majority of New York voters said Hillary Rodham Clinton deserves to be re-elected to the Senate next year, but want her to pledge to serve a full, six-year term if she runs, a statewide poll reported Thursday.

Fools.

"No Wire Hangers!" From the movie Mommy Dearest, written by Robert Getchell, Tracy Hotchner, Frank Perry, & Frank Yablans, from the book by Christina Crawford.

Joan Crawford: "No wire hangers! What's wire hangers doing in this closet when I told you no wire hangers?! EVER!!!! I work till I'm half dead and I hear people say she's getting old! What do I get ? A daughter who cares as much about a beautiful dress I give her as she cares about me. What's wire hangers doing in this closet?! Answer me! I buy you beautiful dresses and you treat 'em like some dishrag! You threw a 300 dollar dress on a wire hanger! We'll see how many you got hidden in here, we'll see! All of this is coming out! Out! Out! Out! Out! We're gonna see how many wire hangers you got in your closet! Wire hangers. Why? Why? Christina, get out of that bed! Get out of that bed! (picks up hanger and begins to beat Christina) You live in the most beautiful house in Brentwood and you dont care about crease marks from wire hangers, and your room looks like some two dollar unfurnished room in some two- bit backstreet town in Oklahoma! Get up! Clean up this mess! Did you scrub the bathroom floor today? Did you?"

!!! ;-))

Knowing the RATs,they'll probably want her to serve as both Sinator and POSOTUS.

The Constituion mean nothing to them.

Why do I get the feeling the respondants haven't a clue about what you just parsed?

(In my best Baby Huey voice ... )

Question #1 .... duuuhhhhya!

Question #2 .... duuuhhhhhya!

The problem isn't with the survey, it's with the story about the survey. It combines answers to what must have been two separate questions into one sentence. The questions would be something like:
Should Hillary Clinton run for the White house instead of running for re-election to the Senate?
If Hillary Clinton does run for re-election to the Senate and win, should she serve a full term and not run for the White House?
People can answer "yes" to both of those questions without it being contradictory.
