The pressure being put on the people in England, and don't forget the Australians has got to be reaching the breaking point.
A pressure cooker can only contain "x" amount of stress and then all "hell" breaks loose.

I cannot help believing, that all the restrictions on these people are not being put in place, except to bring the population to a critical mass, where they simply burn down the government building and hang all the liberal politicians, which indeed must be the desired crisis designed by the communist/socialists embedded in their governments........in America too, I presume........

Thanks. I assumed it was something like that but I had never heard it. I may even have been guilty of it a time or three but obviously I didn't know what I was doing.

Only an evil dictatorship could ever consider the rights
of evil doers to harm honest tax paying citizens over the
God given rights of honest tax paying citizens to defend their own lives, the lives of their famiiles..and their property.

England/Great Britain/The British Isles whatever..sucks canal water

As do those in power who dictate along the same lines as the Brits

imo

There's too many needing hanging for the few dozen noncrazies left in England to hang.

Turn out the lights, the party's over.

Thanks for your explanation about row being an archaic term to describe a violent quarrel in the US.

The sad thing about Linda Walker's current situation is that her career as a special needs teacher is still in jeopardy due to this incident, which was initiated by the hooligans and not by her.

Unfortunately, when the British government included air rifles with power ratings over 12 ftlbs and air pistols over 6 ftlbs in the Firearms Act 1968 in order to license their owners,

I wouldn't even consider carrying something less than 400 ft-lbs for self defense. I finally found a good 44 load which I clocked at 1,100 ft-lbs.

Now we're cooking with gas.

It certainly sounds like the valve on Linda Walker's pressure cooker blew, because she was 'ranting and raving like a lunatic when she fired the gun' at the pavement near the feet of the toerag she was arguing with. IMHO an impulsive act of belligerence by a previously law abiding citizen in reponse to provocation and vandalism by juvenile delinquents should not automatically be punished by the Courts with a mandatory minimum sentence of imprisonment.

She'd be better off throwing rocks. A half pound rock at 50 mph will give ~ 40 ft-lbs.

A Freedom Arms Model 83 revolver shooting the 240 grain hollowpoint .454 Casull puts out over 1,900 ftlbs of energy. Although I hear a new one costs about $2,000, but you might be able to get a bargain on a secondhand one. Of course, .454 Casull ammo costs up to $30 for a box of 20, so target practise would be expensive too. But it must be very satisfying watching a mugger or a burglar's face after you pull one on him!

No, no, no. The battle for the soul of Merrie Olde England is not lost, not by a long shot. They must first hit rock bottom before enough of them realize they've been had by their victimizing, disarming, hoodlum-coddling government. I think it may take a major terrorist attack before the good people start sounding off. But England will be back, better than ever...count on it. They will probably kick the EU and the euro currency in the butt, don't let the door hit you on the way out, and send a few Labour politicians packing too. Along with the radical Imams.

I believe the pistol she fired at the pavement near the feet of one of the yobs was a Walther CP88 CO2 pistol. They fire .177 calibre 5 grain pellets at 2.5 - 3 ftlbs. Hardly in the firearm range and its doubtful that you could even humanely kill a rat with that sort of power.

A 200 lb draw weight crossbow with a draw length of 15" will put out over 100 ftlbs, as will a 100 lb longbow with a draw length of 30". Although the British government has strict laws for licensing air rifles and air pistols over 12 and 6 ft lbs, respectively, (and making their owners apply for permission to own them from the Police), they do not have any such rules regarding bows - which are usually far more powerful. (But maybe I shouldn't say this on a public forum it may give the idiots at the Gun Control Network ideas as to what to campaign against when the Labour government has enacted all their hysterical anti-gun policy proposals).

I believe that it took only 3% of the total population of the original 13 colonies to overthrow the Red Coats. What is 3% of the population of England ???? Probably enough to return the nation back to sanity, wouldn't you think ???, but they must be completely ready to loose everything for the good of the future people's who will enjoy the benefit of their sacrifices.

I don't believe that a revolution would be a viable option at this point, to put it mildly. My solution to the problem of how to deal with out of control statism, Labour's expanding socialist policies and creeping EU control over British affairs is to vote for the Conservative party in the UK general election tomorrow. If Labour win, which unfortunately it seems likely they will, then I will emigrate within the next 9 months (I have already started on the applications).

Why not? British government thugs are complete pooftas compared some of the scary folks we have around here.

I've chatted with firearms qualified British cops who didn't know the difference between a mini-14 and an m-14.

will emigrate within the next 9 months

DONT PICK A BLUE STATE.
