You totally nailed it on #323!

Lighten up, you say? No thanks. I'd rather be a G-rated conservative Stop fooling yourself. It is as clear as day that by thinking that Laura's horse joke was about having sex with a horse, you are nowhere near the vicinity of being G-rated.
To: melancholy; baseballmom
LOL-LOL- yeah -- between the responses of you and baseballmom, I am doubled over in laughter.

Attacks are seldom uneven for long (Terri Schiavo debacle excluded). It's gone both ways, no party on either side parades it as a virtue.

That's the view from your side of the issue; myself, I was more offended when Laura Bush was called a "slut," "white trash," and a "whore," which, as you said, you didn't even pay attention to. That was over the line. However, does that justify you attacking OTHER posters for making a reasonable inferrence about the male horse joke? Posters who weren't making such comments about Laura Bush?
Apparently it does, just as my failure to apologize for what someone else wrote justified other posters disparaging my marriage. Nice standards your side has there, Howlin.

ROTFL. Good thing you didn't ask about bananas.
Or cucumbers. LOL.

Michelle, someone with a mind less nasty than yours sees this as a joke about a fish out of water. Finally! Somebody puts it into the right words.
Where were you five days ago?

That's a good line.
May I steal it, please?
I know just the people I want to inflict it on......

I must not have hung around the other thread long enough to see Laura Bush called those names. I certainly think that's inappropriate as well (and not true--come on people!)
But really, how much different is that than people suggesting that those of us with a different version of propriety are not getting enough? It's equally offensive. It certainly will not make someone take the opinion of the poster seriously, no matter how much it makes their friends laugh and agree.

What kind of mind would even think such a thing? Quite a few, it seems. Keep reading.

Michelle's right on about Mrs. Bush.
The "South Park Conservative" movement must also be addressed because it's a genuine and significant phenomenon, although misidentified, as she states. A more appropriate label would be "South Park Libertarians," or libertines. Conservatism without morals. Or, "I got mine, now leave me alone."
Someone here provided me with a valuable insight. At least the Left recognizes the truth of "the common good," even if their prescription for achieving it is incorrect. The "South Park Conservatives" have jettisoned the concept for pure selfishness.
