Could you work up some indignation so we could all get into an argument. Even some irritation. I mean you could have some hurt feelings. Maybe we could get you an attorney.

There may be grandmothers involved too. Poor grannies, just wanting to have a nice wedding and this happens! This may have to be a multi year series, like Six Feet Under.

Have a Scotch,,sometimes with two or three you can get pretty morbid and get hurt feelings. Then we can hire a lawyer! And sue! And go on Larry king with Gloria Allred.

Have another, a double.

That's it, you are getting there.

Are you feeling victimized yet? Irritated? Vengeful?

When you get to the vengeful part, I will be asleep as I am going to bed, but that is when we need to get a lawyer. A really really mean one who will work on a contingency and wants to be on tv. We can hire Gloria Alred later. Damn, I miss Johnny Cochran.

Have another scotch dear,,good night. Nurse those grievances now.

Well, you don't use the dressed/devilled egg plate every day. But you absolutely need it, otherwise they'll slide all over the place.

And frankly it amazes me that they could spend $100,000 in EXTRA FUNDS looking for a person for 2 days. That's a lot of overtime. I assume the police were already going to be paid for their normal work, and the volunteers weren't paid.

I believe you assume wrong. When they are looking for a
person in the woods they are not able to do their regular
jobs so all their time would be charged to this search not
just overtime hours. In addition there are any number of
hazards that could be encountered. They could fall down a
sink hole or into a ravine. They could experience a snakebite,
the Copperheads and Cottonmouths are already out down
here. Searching along city streets could expose officers to
traffic hazards not usually encountered. [I heard that there
was one funeral for an officer that had been killed in the line
of duty that some brother officers could not attend because
they were involved in this search.]

The searchers are not the only cost. There were a number
of support functions that were involved with the search, that
is why the initial estimated range was so broad, from $40,000
to $60,000 for the cost of searching for her."

Oh, good lord. Let's pray that they're like in the movies: smiling, pretending not to understand, and blissfully philosophical.

Actually he never said anything about 5 years (media distortion). What he DID say was that she was moving stuff into this home and occasionally stayed there overnight.

Why not give the guy the benefit of the doubt that he's truthful about this? Is it so hard to believe a person can remain chaste these days before marriage??? Sheesh, what is this world coming to!

I had to tag this on somewhere, and this is the shortest thread.

There may be premeditation, according to Fox, as she asked her boss for the day off. You are going to love the excuse she gave her boss:

Her crinolines were messed up and she had to go to the dressmaker!!!

LOL!

Here's an exerpt from the NYPost:

http://www.nypost.com/news/nationalnews/45994.htm

May 4, 2005 -- Days before she disappeared, bolting bride Jennifer Wilbanks lied to her boss that she needed time off to fix her wedding dress, in an apparent effort to cover up plans she was about to flee the state, sources said yesterday.

Wilbanks begged off work April 26 — the day she disappeared — because "she said her crinolines hadn't come in" and she had to deal with it, a supervisor at Heritage OB-GYN in Gainesville told The Post.

Wilbanks, a medical assistant who manned the reception desk and helped the midwives at the baby clinic, asked in advance for the day off, the supervisor said. But there was no issue with the crinoline — the stiff petticoat worn beneath a bridal gown to add shape, said Wilbanks' wedding planner.

"The dress had already been fitted and the crinolines were already sewn in," said Christopher Davidson, who owns Christopher's Tuxedo and Bridal in Gainesville and also planned Wilbanks' now-canceled, 600-guest, April 30 bonanza.

The latest revelations could bolster a criminal case against Wilbanks, 32.

Authorities believe she planned the run from her impending wedding to John Mason, 32, that sparked a massive — and costly — three-day manhunt.

Cops have already confirmed that Wilbanks bought a Greyhound bus ticket out of town a week before she ran away.

She also arranged for a taxi to take her to the Atlanta bus terminal and cut her hair.

Oh, thanks! I only heard the snippet on Fox and Friends, and your article adds lots of detail.

Now I want to know what that wedding dress looked like!

It suggests premeditation, but it also suggests she wanted to keep her job and planned to come back!

I wonder if she's been calling in this week, but I suppose she had a vacation planned.

You make a good point.

I still want to know what the dress looks like. If it has crinolines it must be a full skirt.

A planned runaway. I'm not surprised.

The level of narcissism this woman has displayed is stunning.

When my husband is not at home when I leave the house, I always leave a note where I'm going and what time it is that I'm leaving.

When you love people, you do not worry them the way this woman did.
