I understand that, and I should have clarified. The older guys/men should know better, and should say no.

No matter how appealing (that term make me ill) the 15 year old may be, the guys should know better. Especially if they are in their twenties.

I just remember a case I ran into, though. I was taking dance lessons many years ago, and my partner was a very attractive and well built young lady. This gal was at least 5'10 with a Sports Illustrated swim suit model figure, with a face to match.

I quickly found another partner when she told me she was 13. She also told me how she hung out with 18 to 21 year old guys..who were just her "friends." And, evidently, her parents condoned this behavoir, because they were just "friends."

Those were parents who needed to be taken behind the woodshed.

No, it doesn't "have to be legal".

A VERY small percentage of rapes result in conception.

And the NARAL crowd will NEVER allow access to abortion to narrow to that extent.

As for "genetically compromised child", there are plenty of handicapped people who have made OUTSTANDING contributions to mankind.
When you start making these "master race" exceptions, YOU are doomed!

Like I say, I'd advise people against abortions in something like 95% of cases. Nonetheless I believe people who want to outlaw abortion (other than in the obvious cases of late term abortions which are basically infantacide) are misguided. Put the same level of effort into convincing people not to HAVE abortions, and not only would the number of abortions plummet, but the republican party would benefit. In my judgement, it's nothing other than this one stupid issue which has kept the dems alive for the last 25 years.

It is NOT about "advising people".
After she's pregnent is NOT the time to explorer options.

The problem is a culture that teaches there are no consequences for actions.
The culture teaches:
Take the pill so you can have carefree sex.....and just in case, there's abortion!

Was there less irresponsible sex before abortion and the pill?

YES!!!!!!!!!!!

"I can't see forcing girls or women to bear children for the benefit of rapists and I cannot see forcing anybody to bear a genetically compromised child."

Can't disagree with you there, either. Every time that I say something utterly adamant about PRO-LIFE, I think of a situation like the one you are describing. Were it my daughter, I really wouldn't want to see her forced to endure a pregnancy for the purpose of delivering a "genetically compromised child" - just because there is a universal feeling that "life is precious."

I've seen too many horror stories of offspring of "mixed parentage" (resulting from rapes), where the baby was immediately adopted out, only to return to ring the biological mother's door bell anywhere from 20 to 30 years later, with the predictable consequences to the bio mom.

ANY time there is an abortion by a girl under 18 it should be reported to the police. PERHAPS a blood/dna sample should be MANDATED held for 100% of all under 18 abortions just in case, for the statute of limitations period.

True enough. Is it just me, or can this entire issue be settled by using some (get ready for a dirty word) COMMON SENSE? I mean, birth control is as free as the wind these days, and women are still clamoring for the right to turn their own children into hamburger meat???? Pardon me if I'm slow, but I just don't get it. What is so LIBERATING about any of it??

If these women want to prove how much 'control' they have over their bodies, maybe they should excercise some of this control BEFORE the fact. You know, don't get into bed with the guy in the first place. I thought men were the enemy! Perhaps if these PRO-'CHOICE' females would pick a side and stick with it, in terms of their feminist allegiences, then this wouldn't be an issue, period.
