Great pics!
Thanks much.
I don't get the point of the protests. I have a book with a very interesting photograph of a huge rally at Union Square in May 1861 after Fort Sumter was fired on, supporting President Lincoln and the coming Civil War. Times change.
LOL!! Great work, patriots! It's truly wonderful to see young, energetic men and women laughing at the ridiculous left. Well done...
I liked the one of the girl with the "Where's the Draft?" sign the best. Great pics!

But yet, not long after that, the New Yorkers protested and torched the joint protesting "Mr. Lincoln's draft".
Well, then again, not sidekicks, but arch-rivals....
Different people, different area. My grandfather's grandfather, from whom I get my surname, was a police captain in the Second Precinct (Madison Square), scene of some of the worst draft riots. The pro-Union rallyers were middle class native-Americans, the rioters were mostly poor immigrants.
I couldn't tell if they were Bolshies or if they were mocking the Bolshies. When a movement becomes indistinguishable from its own parody, it is irrelevant.
Great Job, It warmed my heart that's for sure.

Hope he wrote some of his stories to passed on to family members. I bet there's some real history in your background. Most of my ancestors were horse thieves, I understand they didn't like to write much! Or probably couldn't! haha
