What are the numbers to call?
This demands major action now!

Why are Freepers so quick to believe AP which is nothing more than an arm of the DemocRATs. No kidding. Between the AP and the NY Slimes RAT position promotions, the level of hysteria from some FReepers is astounding.
READ THIS to see what Karl Rove's response is.
Further, READ HERE to see Frists approach of having the filibusters ruled as dilitory.
And in the meantime some FReepers need to do a bit of a spinal check themselves. If you want to be helpful, start calling fence-sitting RINO's with your opinion.

If Frist gives in to Reid the Dems will still have the filibuster to use next time around, or for something else that we haven't heard about yet. Reid isn't making this gesture for nothing.
If Frist doesn't start getting tough with the Dems now how can he expect to become a presidential candidate in 2008?

Surely you don't believe any of this. There's no way President Bush would allow Frist to make such a one sided "deal". Even Frist isn't this dumb.
This AP article has "democrat spinning crap" written all over it. Reid must be getting desperate.

so where is Frists office comming forward to counter Reid's PR stunt?
If this is just an effort by Reid to show democrats as "in charge" despite being a minority then it is working very well.
Frist and the Republicans need to spank the democrats HARD in order to teach the public that democrats are the minortiy party and will be treated as such.
Remember folks demcrats are NOT THE MAINSTREAM ANYMORE.

Exactly deport. But you know we should all jump the guns and make it that Frist already agreed on this supposed deal and start attacking the GOP. This is the best thing we do recently on FR.

The only deal we should accept is, no filibusters at all. That is, the democranks should avoid bringing up the issue at all so that the Republicans cannot hammer it into the ground.

I didn't read your # 7 before I replied. I'm glad to know we're in total agreement.
A wussy cave by Frist is the only way the Democrats can win this fight.

If Reid is in the position where he feels negotiating is a better deal for their side, we definitely should steamroll the fillibster.

Say goodbye to a GOP majority in 2006.This, for me, seals the deal.
I am no longer a Republican. I am a man without a party.
It geniunely does not matter if I vote Republican. Nothing changes if I do, anyways. No matter what, I will get more liberalism.

What the radical obstructionist Dems are doing, is unheard of in Congressional history. They are SO AFRAID of losing the ability TO CORRUPT THE JUDICIARY as an instrument to place their far-left agenda. They MUST BE STEAMROLLED and the GOP needs to exercise its power as they have been mandated by thier voters that put them there!!!

Frist should grow some male hormone producers and tell Reid:

Let me get this straight....Republicans are the majority party and democrats are offering a deal in which Republicans get 3 out of 7 of what they're asking for.
Did I hear that right?
3 out of seven??? The Pubs would be idiots.
There are two acceptable alternatives.
1. Change the cloture rule as it applies to the filibustering of judges. This is my personal favorite.
2. Go back to the old system of all nominees come to the floor for an up or down vote. Once they get there, they are free to be borked. In fact, the borking of nominees is to be expected. If they can't stand the heat, then they shouldn't volunteer to be nominated.

Simply put, filibustering is not permissible relative to an up or down vote for Judaical Nominees, whether in the committee or the full Senate, so why not move on?

This has nothing to do with this stupid AP article about Reid making a deal with Frist and you and the some other doomers and gloomers are making it like it is already a done deal.
