It certainly does merit its own thread. In addition to Terri, there was that woman who asked for a restraining order, which Greer denied. Imo, he is responsible for her death at the hands of her ex husband. Judges have an awesome responsibility to the citizens in their jurisdiction. Not only should Greer be impeached, he should be tried for several crimes. He needs to be made an example for other judges who think they're god.
>>Greer should be prosecuted, not just impeached, because he overstepped his boundaries by forbidding natural means of giving hydration and nutrition. Natural means are not covered under medical treatments in Florida law.
Why is everybody all fired up about only impeaching Greer? Jeb is at fault too. He could have used his executive powers, something he denied he had, to buy Terri time.
Jeb pulled a Pontius Pilate on Terri's family (remember Pontius *did* try to spare Jesus) and then hid under the excuse that any other powers he was being asked to use were non-existent.
Pro-life leaders begged the Gov. to use his "police powers" to take her into custody, and the Gov. refused stating that he had no such powers. (He lied)
Had he bought time for Terri, this issue could have been used to remove Greer from the case and given Terri a chance in another court room.
Jeb gave his tacit approval to this court ordered death, and the faithful Republicans are giving him a pass..
The March 7, 2005 petition to give nutrition and hydration by natural means specifically stated that Terri swallowed water when the nurses brushed her teeth.

Greer ordered Terri killed by illegal means.
" but both said they wanted an autopsy and both say the post-mortem exam will provide evidence to finally nail down Ms. Schiavo's diagnosis. "
Death by Mike Schiavo.
" the fewer brains cells a patient has the less likely it is that the patient will be conscious."
Guess he never examined a liberal DemocRAT.
Sure, the hospice called Greer to ask if they would be held in contempt for turning Terri over to DCF. Greer sent County law enforcement officers to guard Terri and sent out some sort of order that Terri could not be removed by the STate.
Jeb Bush was faced with the dilemma of ordering State Troopers to draw guns on County Sheriff's deputies.
Once again that story raises its ugly head.
Problem with it? It never happened. It was a planted story designed by a Bush hack as a (stupid) means of trying to cover the Governor's backside.
I personally confronted the head of the security team at the hospice, asking him if state troopers showed up with an order from the Governor if he and his officers would resist them.
His response?
He laughed.
The truth is, two state troopers and a medical team, armed with an order from the chief law enforcement officer of the state of Florida, Jeb Bush, would have saved Terri's life.
All the Governor would have had to put in the order is that he, as the Chief Executive of the State, was invoking Article One, Section Two of the Florida Constitution.
Not only would he have saved this poor defenseless woman's life, he would have struck a strong blow at the judicial supremacists.
Why didn't he? Because his own words and actions, along with his brother and the rest of the GOP leadership except Tom DeLay, are judicial supremacists themselves.

That's his job, and he blinked. He had numerous options, from declaring a state of emergency due a constitutional crisis, to calling out a unit of the National Guard to enforce State laws.
If he didn't want to deal with State Troopers Vs. County Sherrif's, then he should not have run for the Governorship. A Governor should always be aware that localities may resist State Laws, and in such a situation, a Governor has the obligation to enforce these laws...
The locals would not have resisted an order from the Governor in any way.
Not a chance. Zero.
I heard the story when Ron Panzer told it to a (I believe a local, San Antonio show, but it could have been on Hannity) talk show host.
Who is Ron Panzer?
Okay. Now I remember who he is.
She's dead. Get over it.
"She's dead. Get over it."
NEVER!!!! It was murder.
How do you murder someone who is already dead?
Are you baiting the people here? Stop it.
One can only hope. It would be nice if SOMEONE HAD TO FACE SOME CONSEQUENCES FOR WHAT THEY DID TO HER!!!!!!
"How do you murder someone who is already dead?"
She wasn't dead, not even sick. Tons more neurologists reported that she was not in a PVS. It wasn't up to the Courts or even her butthead husband to make this decision. She should of been with her blood family around the people who loved her most and unconditionally. Instead the horrible Greer and I do mean horrible, callous, and and certainly NO Solomon (not even close) did this awful deed FOR her adulterous husband. MS should not have even been allowed to make the decision given his circumstances.
I hope they all rot in hell.
