Twenty-nine-year-old rubber tapper Kuttiyamma, born with both male and female genitals,Normally, I think of these surgically reassigned people as self mutilators, but if this 'person' was deformed like this, then it sounds like the surgery was decided after 'it' decided to be a 'he' or a 'she' and doesn't fit the typical case of gender reassignment. It's more like gender selection. But sadly still, this person has one screwed up life to live.

I think that it's actually wrong to even do stories on hermaphrodites. They have a very serious birth defect that really cannot be corrected without serious repurcussions that follow the person for the rest of their lives, no matter which sex they choose.
