Our Founding Fathers would call us COWARDS and TRAITORS for letting this go on.

The Clinton administration used the IRS as a political weapon? Why that is nothing compared to the fact John Bolton forgot to buy one of his co-workers a get well card in 1985!!!

Our Founding Fathers would not have been opposed to tarring and feathering people like this!

Yawnnnnnnn. More of the same. It doesn't matter if the results are released, nothing will come of it.

If it doesn't matter, then why are the Dems trying so hard to hide it? :)

Top Democrats are reportedly trying to deep-six the findings of an independent counsel probe into former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Henry Cisneros that uncovered evidence the Clinton White House used the Internal Revenue Service to audit political enemies. Old news that was buried by the MSM and the DeMARXocrats. I am sure there are many more reports that the dems deep-six for Clinton and Hitlery. Lots and lots of Arkicides and accidental deaths including plane crashes.

Sorry, just being sarcastic. But with everything the Clintons have gotton away with, what would make me think anything will come of this?

They haven't gotten away with everything. More will be laid at their door.

The probe's final report now in the hands of a three-judge panel reportedly says that the Clinton IRS "sometimes audited Clinton critics without good cause"
I wonder if BILL O'RIELLY would care to comment. ;)

frankly I suspect both parties have used the IRS to get revenge or silence people
it is standard operating procedure for the powerful
though it looks like there is concrete proof this time
To: littlelilac
um, might I add there seems to be something very wrong when the people being investigated control the funding for the investigation, how did that happen?
yes I understand the government controls the general budgets of the investigating arms of government but how it is they control the budget of one specific investigation, that's not kosher....someone needs to change that rule

Hmmm. Methinks that Barrett should do a total document dump on the Internet on May 31. Let the sun shine in.
To: wagglebee
But the facts may never come out, if Sen. Byron Dorgan and Sen. John Kerry get their way. I think this potential high scandal is one of the very best bad examples of the MSMs selective indignation.
There are, of course many such good, bad examples, but this will serve us well because the scandalish information is so very transparent and because all taxpayers (and thus voters) have a healthy fear of the IRS.
Seems to have struck quite a nerve, too. One wonders if Hillary's DNA might be all over these audits.
We should bring this potential scandal frequently in the next few election cycles. We, apparently, have the Dems attempting to cover up IRS abuses and Stalinist attempts to silence and destroy dissenters and whistle-blowers

Gee, this news makes me feel even giddier about the closeness and friendship the Bush's have forged with the Sinkmeister.
Can anyone post a pic of Daddy Bush and Bubba snuggling on the plane, or just hugging each other?

Gee.
Will the repubbies "promote" and "talk about" this abuse?
We know the MSM will ignore it! But will the repubbie's cave in "non-partisian" (senate) pressure (from McCain, no doubt - and how many other Northeast liberals?) to "let bygones-be-bygones" - unless it was a ten-year "alleged" incident brought up by a democrat operative who hates Bush.

Nope: Find ANY example of a democrat "allie" being audited: Even the (known) abused by Jackson's (multiplely-identically-named) for-profit and not-for-profit organizations (when specifically called for an audit) have been ignored by the IRS.
But, when the Clintons were president, dozens of conservative groups, and hundreds of conservative individuals (including myself) were targeted by the IRS.

ping everyone ya know. I am tired of our Senators backing down.
Bad News.....our guys folded. We have a majority in the senate...and the dems still pulled off this cover up.

Here is the press release form Dorgan's office. Funny how the release does not mention the part about the fact that this may prevent info about Clinton's misuse of the IRS from getting out there.
He screams about waste of tax payer money....WELL...what about the waste of money that it takes to have the IRS go off on political witch hunts?????
