You're a king.....you may want to use a cannon.
(I'm sure you have one in your collection...)

It's possible that the bear just wanted to protect her nearby freshly killed moose, as well as her cubs. Of course, she might've decided an appetizer was in order. More moose for the cubs that way. That sounds like a good explanation to me.
Do you think the bear's favorite tv show is the opening of Northern Exposure?

Not even a few sprigs cloves of garlic around your neck?? Fixed it. I guess that you don't cook much?

Yeah - that way the bear has some seasoning to flavor up those bland tasting humans....

Thanks Wyett. No I don't cook much of anything other than steaks on the (lowers voice) 'mahnnly' bar-b-que. LOL
BTW, Have you seen the movie Tombstone. It's tee-rific.

BTW, Have you seen the movie Tombstone. Yep, many times. The way that Val Kilmer played Doc was absolutely chilling, as it should be. Most accounts of the gunfight at OK Corral don't include Wyatt Earp's "vengeance ride" following the attacks on his family. I'm glad that they included it. I don't see how the story could be complete without it.

I agree. The "vengence ride" IMO was the best part of the flick.
My second favorite western is Open Range with Robert Duvall and Kevin Costner, Annette Benning (handsome woman).

For a great bear-mauling movie...

Looks like a recipe for carpal tunnel syndrome. Naw... With that compensator it's not so bad. Like a 44 mag. At least that about what it felt like with the 325 grain rounds. I understand the 440's are a tad harder to handle. ;)
As you say though, a little carpal is better than being bear scat!

Wanted to let you know what decision I made for concealed carry weapon...I am the proud new owner of a Charter Arms, Bulldog .44 Special. Took it to a self defense session today. I took first place in the revolver class. Hit where I wanted 47 out of 50 shots.
I can't thank you enough for the advice you gave me. I know there were others who gave advice too, I just dont remember who they all were.

is he recoil controllable on a SW 500 ? Depends.
See post 72 and figure if you can handle a 44 mag, you can shoot this one.
I don't have one of my own, as I have no real need for one (no, it's not a requirement lol) but I've shot both the 8" and 4" models and the do make BIG holes. ;)
