If he irritated both sides, he probably did it as close to accurate as he could.

The problem with the media is there are so many things to get wrong that the experts never seem to be pleased. I'm a gun owner and the mistakes the movies make are too many to list. Unfortunately, we criticise too much and we could be grateful that someone at least made an effort to present the production.

My impression on watching most of Ken Burns' "Baseball" was that the game has never been played anywhere else but:

New York and Boston, and

Negro League parks.

I thought that came from the eras covered, with a quick run through of the post 60s decades. I may be wrong. Your perspective is certainly as valid as mine. I'm a fairly superficial analyst.

Kenn Burns "Jazz" was all about race, which jazz is not about. Jazz flourished because whites and blacks worked together. Not because of racism, which Burns uses a marxist class conflict.
