Thank you. I understand last year he called for withholding communion from politicians pushing abortion, a wonderful firmness.

I don't need Peggy Noonan to tell me it's okay to welcome Benedict XVI any more than I needed her to tell me our president put too much God on her cheeseburger.

Thank you all for your kindness in referring me to the Holy Father's writings. I will immerse myself in reading it all slowly and carefully. This will conduct me a little further down the path.

Do you know if the music for the Funeral was all Durufle Requiem, part Durufle Requiem, or all Standard Modes of the Church that Durufle used in his Requiem?

Answer #3 is correct. Durufle basically just did a nice orchestration of the traditional Gregorian chant.

Is your post of your little ditty the cry of your inner adult?

Jesus clearly teaches that we are to be salt and light in this world. That tells me that all christians, though continuously prone to sin and temptation, are called to be in the "God business." And many of us do so by sharing and speaking the truth, doing acts of charity and praying for ourselves and others.

It's unfortuntate that you do not appreciate a president that, while full of faults, is unafraid to reveal his commitment to Christ and seeks to live by His teachings. It's unfortunate that pundits like Peggy Noonan rip our president on the night of his inaugural by stating that he invoked God "too much." Unfortunate that she disparage his claim that freedom is God's gift too all men. If the pope made these claims, her heart would go pitter-pat for days.

I am not a catholic any longer. But I am pleased that the cardinals chose a man who adheres to the claims of truth and doctrine. For my part, I do not look to Washington or Rome for my salvation. The only place I can look to Jesus Christ.

Any politician that tries to assume the mantle of God's right hand man and/or who continually tries to ring God in as the sponsor of his agenda raises my hackles, bigtime!

I judge this politician the same as I do any other, with a huge and healthy dose of skepticism. Incidentally, other than climbing on the water wagon a few years ago I don't see any David-size accomplishments out of the gentleman.

I'd be interested in Bush's exegesis of that claim.

The only place I can look to Jesus Christ.

Me too. The point beaing George W Bush should stick to what God said or Jesus said.

Come sei bravo!

Devo confessare, mi sento un puo inferiore. Tu (perdona l'usa familiare), che sei nato qui, scrivi meglio di me, che sono nata in Italia. Come possibile?
