Selling cold beer to the Brits? That's a sure-fire flop.

True...OC'ers have been doing this for years. What's also been happening for years is the systems leak and coolant+cpu+electricity=BANG! (expensive fixes) :-)... I still don't think they've really come up with a truly leak proof liquid cooling system yet...

The device, which was attached to a heating element that simulates a hot electronic component, has been tested with a refrigerant called R134a, which is used in household air conditioners and refrigerators.

R134a aka Tetrafluoroethane-1,1,1,2 aka Freon 134a

Four years no leaks on my old vapo...abused to the max. Condensation would be more of a problem.

This is a refrigerant system...if it leaks then the "liquid" evaporates...

"Gee, and when I saw the headline I thought it had something to do with providing poultry for our troops."

..and I figured somehow the chickens were keeping our personnel cool...miniature cooling devices.

....and I thought I'd read every word of

this month's International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer too. How could I have missed this?

OH YES! you are correct! Chen is a commie. I only use their site because they usually get prodicts for reviews before anyone else. They pick their favorites all the time like SIS.
