Why does the phrase "paid opinion shapers" come to mind? And why do I think it's all an effort to undermine FR? Inquiring minds want to know. LOL

Yes, of course, it was the SCHINDLER'S fault that Terri had to suffer Mikey, Felos and Greer forbidding her mouth and tongue so much as being moistened with a wet cloth. If not for the SCHINDLERS, Terri could have been hidden from the poor sensitive public for the DAYS she lay there with a parched mouth, throat and tongue. It would have all been over with, all nice and tidy, years ago - and we all could have passed by hurriedly on the other side of the street in our busy and normal lives on our way to Mickey D's for a big mac, coke and fries. . if not for those damn SCHINDLERS!

Although I have read here that tea actually helps give you potassium. I find that interesting since I can't eat bananas, another source of potassium.
Too much fluid would give electrolyte abnormalities but I'm not saying that's what caused Terri's original "incident". No one knows for sure and there is evidence of other causes.
EXACTLY. There was NOTHING, I repeat, NOTHING in writing. The ONLY MORAL thing to do in such a case is to ERR on the side of LIFE. It's the difference between RIGHT and WRONG.
She was put to very slow, horrific, painful, INHUMANE death by court ordered STARVATION on very fuzzy, self-contadicting, SEVEN-years-after-the-fact-and-monies-banked, HEARSAY.
And she wasn't even afforded the same (Congress dictated de novo,) very basic consideration of a person convicted of CAPITAL PUNISHMENT.
There was NOTHING in writing. Putting her to death was WRONG. Terri's *wishes* were HEARSAY. PERIOD.
Firstly, neither you nor I know how she acheived the weight loss on a daily basis. Since I don't know her bone structure, height and so forth, we can't make an informed decision if 110 lbs is an ideal weight. Additionally, we don't know the measures she took to achieve and or maintain that weight. And, many who have family memebers who have anorexia or bulemia do not recognize the problem until too late. They only notice the dramatic and sometimes welcome weight loss.
Nutritional: poor intake, IV fluids low in Potassium, anorexia, high CBH diet."
Back then, we were hearing about high carbohydate diets to lose weight. Pastas and such.

A devout catholic would not in the realm of the church entertain unless it was for scriptural matters.
For sake of argument, prior to feeding tubes, what would have become of Ms. Schiavo? She would have dehydrated and starved as so many here put it. What would be the terminology used then to comfort the family?
You see, none of know anything but IFLAND. Neither you, nor I and in some aspects, even Terri's family.
No, she was allowed to die. She was allowed to finish the process of meeting her maker and having lifes judgement evaluated. Period. God will ultimately decide the fate of her soul and how to deal with those involved if their involvement was contrary to His wishes. Period.
Terri was alive and well enough for her parents to take her home, even if she could not recover, who cares? The pro-euthanists go on and on about how one's life must be "productive". It does not matter to me wether a person ever even regains consciousness, we are not to be killing for the sake of another's ease. We all will eventually die - why hasten if?
