Did you mean faux?
I adore John Gibson, I look forward to his My Word.
Although lets be careful. Richard Lugar, a Republican did the same thing. We cannot be selective to the point of blantant partisanship.
The agent is anything but undercover. Google his name.
Mentioned this question briefly in the Boltonblogging post below. There's plenty to criticize John Kerry for, but this isn't one of them. The Associated Press now asserts that both Sen. John Kerry and Sen. Richard Lugar "may have blown" a CIA agent's cover during the Bolton hearings. (Lugar mentioned the name in his opening statement; Kerry dropped the name during questioning.)
Well, did they or didn't they blow it? Don't just rely on AP. Arms Control Wonk , the blog of Research Fellow Jeffrey Lewis at the Center for International and Security Studies at the University of Maryland School of Public Policy, provides four previous media citations of the agent's name--all which make public reference to the agent, Fulton Armstrong, and the specific intelligence controversy at issue--dating back to September 2002.
So, how come the AP reporter wrote this?
Committee Chairman Richard Lugar, R-Ind., and Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., both mentioned a name, Fulton Armstrong, that had not previously come up in public accounts of the intelligence flap.
And how will all of these newspapers that picked up the AP story square the reporter's assertion with those previous media citations?
Update: The Washington Post also ran AP's story.
Lugar said his name in the beginning grouped with a whole lot of other names, so you really did't know which one was "Mr. Smith" until Kerry blurted it out.
Aw shucks. Why not?
Lugie is only nominally a Republican.
Kerry himself called anyone who'd release the name of an agent "A traitor!".
That was when he thought a Republican did it. Now that he's done it, there's no problem. Why, there's no problem at all. "Let's just put this all behind us and move on, shall we?"
Why isn't the MSM demanding John Kerry resign?
This is an example that it doesn't matter when someone registers to FR trolls come in all shapes and sizes.
No. Lugar referred to the agent as "Mr.Smith." It was Kerry who used his real name. The MSM is spinning this. They showed the actual clip on FOX, and it was Kerry who exposed his name. The clip showed Lugar calling him "Mr.Smith."
You hear the calls for Kerry as much as the media is reporting on Sandy Berger pleading guilty for shredding National Security Documents
Because he's a Dem and they don't think anyone is allowed to question Dems
As much as I respect Michelle Malkin, there has to be a reason that this person was referred to as Mr. Smith during the hearing---
Sure, at one point, he had a resume, and even at the time of the incident that Bolton is getting hung over, in 2002, maybe he was "known, but that was over 2 years ago---he is prolly undercover NOW---otherwise, they wouldn't have started referring to him as Mr. Smith, and when discussing getting him to testify, saying that is would have to be in closed session, so as not to reveal his identity---
NOW, what I just posted actually happened on TV yesterday-so it isn't hearsay---C-span showed it all to the world--I even taped the replay last night---what is to dispute.
Kerry said the name of the person that had been referred to as Mr. Smith---let the frog marching right out of Washington begin!!!!!
I thought someone said that Lugar said the name at the beginning. Dang! As much as I know not to, did I fall for the MSM spin? It's official, I'm having an off day! :)
Can you imagine the press coverage if a Republican had done that? There would be non-stop 24/7 condemnation for at least 6 months!
Thank God right wing medias are getting stronger by the day.
Yes it would
No. That's the MSM trying to cover Kerry's disgusting hind end! It was all Kerry. They're just attempting to blame in on a Republican , too, so Kerry can be "politically covered."
