Uh....why didn't they just go to the labor board? It's free and it protects anyone who is legally employed.
If I remember correctly, the Texas P Farm was one of the county's last self supporting prisons.
The court deemed it 'cruel and unusual punishment' for the inmates to have to work for their food, so it was closed down.
The company even tried to charge workers for their Social Security cards, claims Camero.
Whether this guy was legal or illegal, he would know that you don't get legitimate social cards from employers...Wonder what this fella did to ultimately encourage his employer not to charge for the SS card...
Sounds like a scam to me...
Agreed Our families built this place and to give it away has a lot of people turning in their graves.
ANd those families that built this country came in and adapted to AMERICAN LIFE. They didn't expect the country to adapt to them (other than the FIRST European settlers - they did kind of change things to suit them!).
But today, we have to cater to latino immigrants by printing everything in both English and Spanish. Since when do spanish-speakers need spanish instructions on TOILET PAPER?????
I'm waiting for the highway dept. to start replacing the current highway signs with bilingual signs....
