I know two old hippies who just got into talk radio this year from picking Savage up on the radio. They are now strong Republicans.

You're exactly right, there is a place for each of these types of radio personalities. I'm grateful for them. I think Savage can bring in some folks who normally wouldn't even consider tuning into Rush.

Seriously- what is Savage's real name?

I don't think he is a phony- I think he is an actor. He's entertaining, that's all. I am, however, grateful for his schtick about liberalism being a mental disorder. I agree with that 150%.

Harry Reids official senate web site was unreachable why Rush was talking about all of Reid's corruption. lol, I guess others wanted to check out more information on that scum bag.

"Never saw any claim like that here. Link me if you did."

My statement was, "When Rush is perfectly conservative, please let me know." If you would agree that Rush is not perfectly conservative, then we are in agreement.

Wow! That LA Times article from '03 exposing all the graft in Reid's family makes you wonder why in the world he would stick up his head and accuse DeLay of anything. All four of Reid's sons have been getting kickbacks from legislation passed by the old man, and even the Times thought it was "excessive." This needs to be trumpted by our weak-kneed Republicans in the Senate the next time DeLay is brought up. And Pelosi has had to cough up a $21,000 fine to the FEC because of campaign fund irregularities. Why aren't the Republican House members bringing this up? They are really not worth much, are they?

Remember all who said Ashcroft would prosecute them.

I do indeed remember that. Didn't believe it then. Don't believe it now.

I don't believe the FRWPPers either.

Of course we agree! Nobody is perfect- that's one of the basics in life. I don't march it out against everyone every time they do something wrong, however.

I turned over to Bill O'Reilly's radio show during a Rush commercial---he was talking about a girl that is missing, prolly a runaway, because she has a history of it, and her mother was "out of town"---I think the girl is like 12- 13.

ANYWAY, O'Reilly started comparing this to the Jessica Lundsfords case, ---the little girl possible buried alive by a trailer really close to her house---

THEN, O'Reilly said prolly the most outrageous thing that I have heard him say,(and he has said a lot), He said that it is cases like this one (where the mother is disinterested and the daughter runsaway), and the Lundsford case is THE EXACT REASON THE JEB BUSH COULD NEVER BE PRESIDENT--he said that if Jeb can't control the people in his STATE, how could he do it for a whole nation!!!

Anyone STILL and O'Reilly fan?

I think you'd be hard-pressed to find any O'Reilly fans here.

It is a good thing---I think he is coming out with more weird takes than Michael Savage, and Savage can get pretty radical---

I remember when Bush went back to Washington to sign the Terri Schiavo bill--the next day on his show, Savage said that no matter what bad things he had ever said about Bush, that didn't matter anymore because of Bush signing that bill. He said that showed true leadership and going against the grain, true concern and courage, yada, yada, ...

NOW, he doesn't have a nice thing to say about Bush--because he didn't sent in the National Guard to yank Terri out of the hospital...

I forgot to say that the day that Savage said how great Bush was, he "promised" that he (Savage) would always respect him!!! LOL

I love them both. I have been listening to Rush since 1986. It isn't a contest between the two, I like them both. I am bored with Hannity, and Orieley makes me sick.

It takes a certain kind of person to understand Savage, and how sincere he is, and I am one of those.

O'R seems to hate Jeb Bush with a viciousness that goes beyond rationality.

When a little girl was missing from family services protection O'R was insiting that it was Jeb's fault and he should resign.

When I watch O'R on rare occasion I feel like I'm watching a man having a breakdown right before my eyes.

Been trying to figure out what type of person can listen to the rantings of MS.

I live in a semi rural area, no traffic, lots of space and I can't endure MS for more than one minute.

Is it people who live in cities where there is a fair amount of chaos who love to listen?

Actually I'm with you- I understand Savage and what he does.

I think he is great. But I don't compare him to Rush because they're so different.

One thing that bugs me about Savage is that he took his show off of XM Radio.

I live in a very rural area and have most of my life. Maybe I am looking for excitement? Course I use to run with bikers?

My young pastor comes from Wales and he loves Savage too. He has learned alot from Savage and speaks out more from the pulpit in this pretty big church.

That was dumb. I only listen to talk radio in my car so I am not listening that often.

I think he is po'd by satellite radio because he thinks it creates an uneven playing field. Meaning that he has to adhere to FCC rules on regular radio, but the satellite folks don't.

So to me, his decision to pull the show from XM makes no sense at all. He's shot himself in the foot with that move. I can't get him on my AM stations here, so I never would have heard the guy without XM.
