"And a, quote-unquote, 'progressive' or 'liberal' network probably couldn't reach the same sort of an audience, because liberals tend to like to sample a lot of opinions," Mr. Klein continues. "They pride themselves on that.

This guy has it back-asswards.

A FOX News viewer will see an Alan Colmes or a Juan Williams championing the Liberal viewpoint of an issue while a CNN viewer will never hear the Conservative side of an issue at all.

That it why CNN is sinking in the ratings. Even Liberals like to hear both sides of an issue.

Liberals claim to be open-minded but they go into apoplectic fits whenever they can't have complete control over the content of the debate.

Yeah funny isn't it. That's his simplistic marketing pitch: FoxNews watchers are angry, unthinking and stubborn. CNN watchers are eclectic and open minded.

If you don't convert back we didn't want you anyway....(but please convert.)

Have you ever been shamed or embarassed away from using an information source? He's banking his job on it. Newflash for the newsman: in general educated folks stop falling for the "the cooool people are into..." tactic about they leave high school.

"They've tapped into an outrage that's lurking among a certain small segment of the population, mostly angry white men, and those men tend to be rabid,"

I didn't know Howard Dean loved Fox!

The funny part is that those at the top of CNN believe this well enough to hire him.

I don't need or want CNN to be conservative any more than I need or want FNC to be conservative. What I need and want is an opportunity to learn something new when I watch the 'news', and to have both sides of political discussions be given a fair opportunity to win my trust.

At least we now know why CNN will continue to lose market share.

It's time for another episode of Down the Tubes, the continuing saga of smug, elistist liberals trying to figure out why the customers are fleeing in droves from what surely is a superior, liberal offering.

Tonight's episode, The Customers Are the Enemy, stars recently-appointed CEO Joel Klein and old-line liberal warhorse Charlie Rose.

Will Joel figure it out? Will Larry King get cancer of the suspenders? Will Charlie Rose get higher ratings than Paula Zahn? Stay tuned to find out.

Exactly....thats why I love FNC. THey provide a look perspective of the major (and even not major) news stories that aren't being provided by other networks. I'm thankful for FNC...I just couldn't deal with CNN anymore.

CNN has another new network president, its fifth in four years. . . .

"They've tapped into an outrage that's lurking among a certain small segment of the population, mostly angry white men . . ."

Sounds like six in four years.

Mr. Klein's assessment of his competition?

"They've tapped into an outrage that's lurking among a certain small segment of the population, mostly angry white men, and those men tend to be rabid," the new CNN chief tells Charlie Rose of PBS. "They tend to be habitual. They tend to like to have their points of view reinforced."

CNN just switched occupants in the Titanic deck chair that's the CNN Presidency.

It's that closed minded stereotype that had both CBS and CNN believed, which caused both to slide towards the media seabed.

I thought Rick Kaplan had no chance at MSNBC, but he's got a real opportunity here to get out off the basement, if he doesn't mind having to climb over CNN's corpse.

It really us amazing...

CNN and the rest of the leftist media outlets see themselves as "balanced," touting only the leftist line, and discounting, if not attacking, any other point of view.

And they view Fox viewers as "Rabid," and the type who only want their point of view reinforced. As usual, it's the typical leftist projection.

Fox's new shows (and theit opinion shows as well) are some of the most balanced I've ever seen. They take great pains to bring really annoying, leftist guests in to babble on, in order to balance out the intelligent and well thought out viewpoints of their conservative guests.

The dictionary definition of "nuance" shows it comes from a French word meaning to "cloud" or "shade".

For the "nuanced" liberals to believe that they understand things more clearly than conservatives is laughable. They don't even understand the meaning of their own claim to fame.

I was 2 in 1984. I'll take your word for it.

Does your mother know you're on the Internet? And why aren't you in bed? Kids should be in bed this time of night!

Oh! I feel old.
