This guy has had some high profile jobs, but I can see that none of us ever heard of him.
The article says that he is an authority on the Kennedys. Maybe they are still hoping to take back the party from the clintons.

Yes,I believe they have just such a Kennedy family loyalist/hanger-on pretty much in mind....

Father: Bayh considering White House run Associated Press
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Sen. Evan Bayh is giving “serious consideration” to running for president, according to his father, former Sen. Birch Bayh.
The younger Bayh has received considerable mention as a possible Democratic presidential hopeful in 2008, but his father’s words Friday appeared to be the strongest indication that a White House run may be planned.
“I think he’s giving that serious consideration,” Birch Bayh told about 200 people at Ivy Tech State College’s second annual O’Bannon Institute for Community Service.
The elder Bayh, who served as senator from Indiana from 1963 to 1981, sought the Democratic nomination himself in 1976, but lost to Jimmy Carter.
Bayh that his son is more serious and more conservative than he was.
“I thought I could speak to the young people who were concerned about Vietnam and the hard hats who were concerned about making a living,” he said.
The former senator was the featured speaker for the two day conference on student activism and leadership named for late Gov. Frank O’Bannon.
Bayh encouraged students and young people to put their abilities to use in politics and civic life.
“I think young people want to believe they can make a difference,” he said. “God help us if a generation of young people come along that don’t think they can make a difference.”

He said the normal range of a handgun is "60-70 yards, less than 100 for sure." He said it was possible the bullet was fired from an access road that parallels the interstate, but nobody reported seeing a car on that road. Next to the access road is an open field. "It was dark and I wouldn't think somebody would be out there hunting at that time," Bruce said. "It's a very odd situation. We don't have anything to base anything on." ……. Her killer has never been caught, and there is no statute of limitations on the crime of murder in the state of Arkansas. Press reports at the time of her death stated that she had received hate mail regarding previous stories she'd written while a university student journalist in Little Rock. Following a statement by newly-seated Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton, the police investigation shifted to consideration that she was a random target, though she had been struck directly in the head with a single shot from a large-caliber handgun similar to those used by the Arkansas State Police, an unusual choice of equipment for a *sniper*. Although later, possible *copycat* shootings occurred, in none of them was anyone killed and ballistic tests on recovered bullets showed that they came from weapons other than that used to kill Judy Danielak. The shooting took place several months after the reported rape of Juanita Broadderick in a Little Rock hotel room by Bill Clinton, at that time the Arkansas Attorney General. ...."
