The President has never advocated "amnesty" and you know it but the lie has to stay alive in order to give the anti-immigration crowd something to whine about.

Nobody here has ever advocated no immigration ("anti-immigration" vs. illegal "immigration") and you know it but the lie has to stay alive to give the aclu something to whine about.

Just pointing out the hypocrisy of increasing passport requirements on citizens while at the same time advocating amnesty for illegals and doing virtually nothing about passportless illegals flooding over our boarders by the millions. Sounds alot like using fingers to plug the massive holes of a sinking ship, doesn't it???

Just pointing out the hypocrisy of increasing passport requirements on citizens...If a citizen travels abroad they should provide passport proof when returning to this country that they deserve to enter.
Do you actually disagree with that statement?

No, I don't have a problem with showing passport proof upon re-entry. I'm just drawing attention to the fact that our current leadership is perfectly content with letting millions of illegals poor through our unprotected boarders while at the same time demanding extra proof from citizens who seek to re-enter the US LEGALLY. Is this IRONY completely lost on my fellow FReepers?

Let's hope not. But let's face it, it has been done before and their trying to do it again. And it is and was Republicans leading the charge in both instances.

This is rediculous. Our freedoms are slipping away from us.

We're not talking about "abroad," we talking about Canada and Mexico. And continued shrinkage of the freedoms of Americans to come and go as they please. So the little Nazis in Washington have punished the innocent while the criminals go free.

>>This is rediculous. Our freedoms are slipping away from us.<<
Our freedoms are slipping away from us becaause we are allowing them to! It is time to stand up and show Washington that the citizens are the owners of America, not the UN and the New World order!
The Minutemen are showing us not only how to seal our borders and protect our national security, they are demonstrating how we, the people, can take back our country from the political establishment.
Some questions and ideas for you to think about.
What do you think would happen if a popular football or other sports star was to start off the project by donating 5 or 25 million dollars to build fences on private property that adjoins the border?
Then a few more sport stars each throw in a couple of million of their own money while asking all "True Americans" to send just one hours wages to the FENCE FUND?
Do you think that the politicians would be able to stop this from growing out of control and the voters demanding that the Feds "fence our land"?
Do you think the politicians would listen or ignore a million calls a day to their offices?
Never underestimate what the American people can do when they decide they want to do it.
While I'm at it, we could start a "Name and Shame List" of companies that hire illegals. Name the banks that loan money to a tax number when the illegal doesn't have a phony Social Security number. Name the mortgage companies that favor home loans to illegals, using our money for their downpayment.
If you have ideas or questions, throw them in the pot here. I'm sure there's FReeper who can answer most of the questions or critique your ideas.
Do you have any ideas on how to get this started?
We need to keep the fire burning while the media is watching and reporting.

And the GOP gets 50% of the hispanic vote. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

I have no problem showing my passport to reenter the country.
Who says the guy coming across the borders is really an American. I have met a lot of people overseas that speak excellent English and could easily pass for an American.

This issue is a ticking time bomb, and it is only a matter of time before the Communists who snuck in amongst otherwise law-abiding illegals begin a classical "War of National Liberation" within our own boarders (revolution, terrorism, mass demonstrations, general strikes, etc). All you have to do is monitor their websites to learn what they have in store for the AMERICAN Southwest.

Your probably right. The MSM has said it in print and television for years. Maybe that is why people think he did say it.
