My point was to show that the resurrection appearances were known and discussed far earlier than the Gospel of Mark. The nature of Jesus' resurrected body is a different question, one that Christians themselves have debated down the centuries; which isn't surprising because resurrection is beyond our known science.

Try explaining that to a Muslim about the Crusades. All Christians are guilty like it or not.

Oh, so if the Muslims do it, then that makes it okay for you to do the same. (rolls eyes)

The scripture states he was turned over by the Jews. Not 47 or 119 or 1789 Jews, but the Jews, period. Scripture was written by Jews, so sue them!

The vast majority of Christians understand that this was not intended to place the blame on every Jew, everywhere, for all time.

Do not fear his teaching

Fear his teaching? Most of what Jesus taught was completely consistent with Judaism (understandably). In fact, most of it was taken directly from the Hebrew scriptures. So no, I have no problem with most of what Jesus taught. It is what was later taught about him with which I disagree.

I don't dispute that. Even the part of Mark 16 which is definitely original has the angel announcing the resurrection.

More irrational interpretation. Its your soul and eternal life. Play with it as you wish, but there is only one way to the kingdom or heaven!

More irrational interpretation.

Yeah, you're right, and all those other Christians are wrong. Got it.

Like or not, he's going to be judging the living and the dead. Not Abraham, Mohammad, Budda, David, Issiah or anyone other than Jesus Christ. He warned of the ends days and they are at hand. You aint ready when you should be getting ready. Play with your fate as you like!

Sure they are. And that has been said how many times in the past thousand years? About once a decade? You're really going to be mad if you die before the big one, eh?

Boogha Boogha. Sure. Ok. Whatever.

Must piss you off that as a population, for such as tiny group, we Jews have done better for ourselves than most.

I'm so warm I need to put the AC on.

So I was thinking, this year, instead of hunting down gentiles for their blood for our matzah, couldn't we just take out an ad in the Times? I'm feeling soooo lazy.

LOL. Yeah, like most pastors are starving.

Money is inert. It is neither negative nor positive. It's what you do with it. We don't have those strange fears of money like y'all do.

Prove to us that none of Jesus's teachings were never transcribed in the original language, you can't.

Then where are the transcriptions? To Christians, these were the most holy words ever spoken, the words of God incarnate, and yet no one bothered to save them. All we have is (supposed) translations.

Me: "there is no discussion anywhere else in the New Testament about anyone having personally met Jesus when he was alive...."

You: "Pure nonsense, read the New Testament. Someone is feeding you misleading information."

OK. I am willing to be educated on this point. I do not claim to be an expert on the NT. Show me where anyone discusses his personal recollection of the living Jesus anywhere in the New Testament after the Gospels. Does anyone say that he was there when Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes or when he gave the Sermon on the Mount? Does anyone relate anything he heard Jesus say?

(Ananias and Sapphira) were not struck down by God because of their not giving all they had. they were struck down by God for attempting to decieve Him. Your argument here is ridiculous.

How did Peter know they were going to die? Did God talk to Peter?

Please do not respond unless show how your theories support the lives these men lived.

What are your sources on the lives of the apostles after the first few chapters of the Book of Acts?

Unfortunately, I have to stop engaging Inyokern; it really never leads anywhere other than the standard "Jesus Never Existed" or "If it's not written somewhere, other than the Bible, it can't be true".

That is a mischaracterization of what I have said. What I have said is that, if God had incarnated himself and walked the earth during the time of the Roman Empire, there should be logically be more of a record of it. For example, people should have remembered what year it happened.

we Jews have done better for ourselves than most

Jews, on average, excel at academics because of the system set up by the Pharisees. The Pharisees replaced the hereditary nobility of the Levites with a nobility based on academic achievement.

Christians are taught in Sunday School that the Pharisees were nothing but hypocrites and fault-finders but the ideology of the Pharisees has been one of the most durable in all of history. If it really were as empty as the Christians believe, how could it still exist today?

And even in some of the cases where Jesus and the Pharisees disagreed (there are relatively few) modern Christians follow the Pharisees rather than Jesus. Christians do not turn the other cheek, they wash their hands before eating, they go to doctors rather than exorcists, etc, etc.
